US Supreme Court Bans Abortion whilst the US Wages Proxy Wars - oppression at home and abroad, profits increase.

I see patterns, in part because I see patterns, and in part because for 58 years I have read widely. I am curious about this world we live in. I think Earth is a beautiful place. I think some cultures are ruining it.

What links this ruling by the USCC, Wealth Extraction, Poverty, Food Banks, Low Wages, Brexit, Trump, anti-LGBTQ+ activism, Deforestation, Raw Sewage in Fresh Water Rivers, Rwanda, Patel, Johnson, Dead Sea-Beds, The Queen as a Monarchy within a  Democracy, Weapons flows into Ukraine, Syria, and Israel from the West, Boris Johnsons criminality, China and Nuclear War?

What links them is that every one of these few, on this euro-centric and incomplete shortlist, an indicator, and a myriad more, complex and complicated problems the culture has created, and must resolve. 
The industrial militarised competing powers for profit and more power culture. It's basic mode is bullying. That is not healthy, biologically speaking.  And if it's not healthy, then it is not 'normal' for our species - what this culture calls normal is really an acceptance, a submission and sense of normalised to behaviour that's unacceptable, largely because it causes harm. Do you get that feeling, sometimes?

Today the US Supreme Court Removed the right of all women within the jurisdiction of the United States of America to chose an Abortion if they fall pregnant and do not want the child, for whatever reason, whilst the US Wages Proxy Wars - oppression at home and abroad. Good lives ruined. 

It's quite understandable that a devout Christian woman who believes that abortion is a 'sin' would refuse an abortion for herself. That is her choice.

It is, however, amoral for her to impose that belief on other women, not least other women who are not devout Christians following Christian rules, and to agitate in any way whatsoever remove that choice from them.

Free Speech is one thing, it's fine for Christians to say "I reject abortion for myself, due to my belief." It is their right to say that, publicly.
It is also a woman's fundamental right, as a person, as a human being, if she choses so, to undertake an abortion for a pregnancy she does not want. She also deserves the best possible health care and support undertake the operation, be she rich or poor.

How can any woman demand that another women bear a child that is unwanted?
The same applies to men.

How dare they?
The injunction in Christianity against abortion is a belief, based upon an imperfect and manufactured doctrine.  It is not a matter of knowledge, science or evidence. It is not a matter of health care and psychological health. 
There are many decent Christians, devout, who adhere to the rules of their Faith. They are not bad people, they are not evil. I see no problem in such people adhering to their rules, as long as they have chosen, consciously, to adopt their Faith. The Right to Choose, Right?
Where they err is to impose that rule upon all other women. That is wrong. amoral and unfair.

It is also a matter of insecurity - the insecure try to secure themselves often by imposing their will upon others. This is a dynamic that can be exploited and is being exploited by political actors who routinely troll and trigger target groups and individuals insecurity and belief patterns. Deploying the framing effect to influence decision making. 

We have seen plenty examples of this in recent years and throughout recorded history.

It is a standard practice in all violent hierarchy cultures.
One of the long standing problems I perceive within Christianity as a dogma is that Dominion is embedded into their belief system - they believe the worlds peoples should all be Christian, and that a Christian Earth would be the best of all worlds. God has given them this Earth. The promised land. Manifest Destiny.
This sense of the right to achieve Dominion is also built into Capitalism, which is rooted in Puritan Christianity. The Industrial Revolution and European Colonialism were also rooted in Christianity, and both were presented as Christianising projects. Wealth is a sign of God's approval, poverty evidence of His disapproval and thus, a flaw in the person who is impoverished.
The cover story for colonialism was the three 'C's. 
Christianity, Commerce and Civilisation. The British Empire was a global commercial domination project at it's core, with it's foundations rooted in Christian Dominion as a God given right and as the correct path for all Humanity.
The decision by the US Supreme Court to remove the right to abortion is part of this dynamic of imposing Christianity and it's rules upon a diverse population, it will impact all indigenous peoples in much the same manner as the conquest of the America's has and it is linked into the domination of Earths peoples by Capitalism. Every movement that rejects that imposition was treated as a threat, and type cast as a competing power grab. 
"Islam wants to take over!". "Communism wants to take over!"  "Secularism wants to destroy our Faith." "There is a war against Christianity!" 

Nonsense!
Secularism brought us The UN Charter of Human Rights, and included within it the right to religious freedom to allow people to follow their Religion, without being persecuted or discriminated against, and was a response to the horrors of the European pogrom perpetrated by the Nazi German Regime, which itself was part of a historical trend of pogroms against Jews 2000 years old.

War, religion and children

Thus it's declaration of freedom of religion was quite understandable, in the wake of the intolerable monstrosity of the slaughter of Jews and many others perpetrated by a modern European Christian State.
Unfortunately, what it did not do was instil an injunction against indoctrination.
Indoctrination is a core element of the propagation and expansion of Religion, and is mainly perpetrated upon defenceless children, often using methods, that if used on Adults, would be understood as deeply offensive. The use of psychology and sanction and corporal punishment to instil a belief system is oppressive. No matter the outcome. Even of it leads to a child growing up to be a kind, decent humane adult. The end does not justify the means.
Russian civilians and their children, Ukrainian civilians and their children are learning that lesson in the hardest and most horrific way imaginable, as two states, both avowedly Christian, though of different sects, and their allies pour weapons and men into wage war, and the civilians who are there by accident of birth, and who generally have nothing to do with the various aims of the Political War Lords on either side, until they are caught in the cross fire and must flee or endure or fight, as circumstance dictates, circumstance beyond their capability to influence - who is seeking Peace on either side?
The same can be said of any and all wars. Ordinary folk do not start wars, they do not vote for wars, because they know what wars will do to their lives, their communities, their culture.
Warlords vote for wars. Oligarchs profit from wars.
Warlords also exploit Religion and National Identity. A majority of adherents of Religion, as much as the majority of people for whom a given nationality is asserted,  are born into the Religion or The State in which their parents live and are indoctrinated into the beliefs associated with either institution as a matter of course, a practice which is accepted as the 'natural' order. 

Distal Power and Power Disparity
Children have little power relative to adults, and it's natural to some degree that children will adopt the beliefs of their parents, but the art of indoctrination - which is only possible due to the power differential between adults and children, a power disparity that is exploited to meet the adult worlds needs, and is often deployed with sanctions or threats of sanctions to ensure compliance - intensifies that adoption or internalisation of  the belief, and this frequently leads to conflict, when for example a child comes to terms with his or her sexuality as a teen or adult, and steps away from the doctrinal assumptions on sexuality or when a child rejects National Identity - as Theresa May opined "a Citizen of the World is a Citizen of nowhere!" in her Brexit Nationalistic taunt - conflict ensues.  The adults object. The rulers object. 
In my view the person externalising their own emergent sense of their sexuality is right, and a person asserting his or her sense of being part of the Human Family rather than merely a subject or citizen bound by nationalism is in the right. Those who oppose that are in the wrong.
I understand people adopting a national sense of self, an identity bound by history and culture, we all internalise our environment, but for it to be the result of indoctrination in childhood, that is oppressive, that is deliberate grooming and it is especially egregious when it is late on exploited. Nationalism fills the ranks of militarism, and in that sense it is oppressive and bloody well dangerous.

Every militarist state tells the mothers of the dead that their sacrifice was not in vain, that it was a noble sacrifice. Nah, I don't buy that. Let me say it as it really is. That is an ugly, disgusting lie, every time. It masks the truth of what war really is - for what is war other than Oligarchs organising the resources required to train workers to murder other workers, as the Oligarchy wave their Flags, in order to maintain the power of Oligarchs to dominate the society and to extract the wealth required to wage war.

Who can poll the dead for their opinions?
Would Rupert Murdoch or Elon Musk or Obama or Blair or May or Putin or Zelensky or Johnson present themselves at the frontline? Never! They lead from far behind the battle lines. Do the weapons makers turn up for shifts in the trenches. Do they fuck! 
They exhort the relatively powerless citizens to 'make the sacrifice for the Father/Motherland!' They persecute deserters and active anti-war activists and pacifists. 
Where is Julian Assange headed, and why?
Sanctions must be applied to keep the rebellious in line, and to forewarn others who might be considering similar action. Conversion therapy is driven by religious ideology, not by health care, science or kindness. It is known to be a cruel process. Demanding that every woman who falls pregnant bears the child to full term is similarly an act of intolerable cruelty.
Flags and images of Jesus are posted above class rooms, and children are enrolled, indoctrinated into the nationality myth and the religious myth. Is this just? Is this equitable? Pacifists are derided when War Lords wave flags to enroll young men and women into their wars. I think the pacifists are among the most courageous people of all. Atheists are decried as enemies of religion. Other Religions are deemed evil. This is all nonsense. Abortion Health Care is the work of Satan. Yeah, right. Jesus never said any of this.
The decision by the US Supreme Court, and body of less than 12 people, (Juries are 12, the USSC is merely 9 carefully selected (not elected) old farts, deciding upon the rules governing the lives of some 340 million people, to remove the right of all women in the US of A to choose an abortion, (and to have safe health care provision for such an operation, which they must pay for) from the Constitution, is a cruel decision. A divisive decision. What drives this divisive, irrationality?

Grooming

The Oligarchy, as I have written previously, are engaged in a political war against democratic regulation of toxic industrial practice. The strategic goal is a divided electorate, divided along irrational emotional lines of belief - that way they can harness the various value-emotion led demographics - Christians, Jews, Sunni vs Shia Muslims, New Agers, Commie Haters, people who fear LGBTQ+, Xenophobes, small land lords, people who do not correctly understand Government Level Finance Operations etc.,. etc. 
This is deliberate, well funded and utterly political right wing and very aggressive and funded by oligarchy.

A tactic they are deploying is to weaponise Free Speech.
They are also part of an anti LBGTQ+ political movement.
So they attack Trans-Sexuality as unChristian, then demand the right to do so publicly and claim their right to free speech is being trashed if anyone objects. Then the use emotional trigger to conflate and link that to other issues.
The Oligarchy seek out emotionally charged  issues that can be carefully groomed to align with political goals related to undermine democratic solidarity across the board.
This is a strategic gaming of people's emotions and positions for political gain, a strategy honest people would never engage in.

There’s a very well funded Christian Right Wing movement in England, affiliated with US, part of a global network.
They are targeting universities, clinics and do a lot of online advertising/grooming.
They conflate the issue of Free Speech with their campaigns.

Let me make it clear that these tactics are evil. They are abusive.
Grooming vulnerable people being deployed to restrict the rights of women, or anyone else, or to achieve any political goal cannot stand.

It is inhumane, it is institutionalised abuse, it is an act of mass oppression.

As to the Supreme Court decision it is an act of profound misogyny. And members of that court are already calling for other rights to be removed, to follow on from this egregious betrayal. The drive to divide the population along highly charged emotional lines is a drive to start a war of sorts, a war that inhibits grass roots worker solidarity.

This is not so much a slippery slope as another step along the well trodden road to inhumane ruination. This is not simply a gender rights issue, it is a full scale war against a humane democracy, a war waged by the Wealth Extraction Class who know that Climate Disruption, Poverty, Racism and Environmental Degradation, Species loss is on their door step. And they know that healthy democratic regulation would end their dominance, politically and financially. Addicted to that power they will do anything, anything to retain that power, even if it means billions of deaths.

If we don't work with all the energy, compassion, intelligence and creativity we've got, to build bridges of rationality across these emotional ravines, they will push this, and all of us to the wall.

It can be done, we have examples in our history where grass roots solidarity built healthy political movements to rein in some of the power of the Oligarchy. This work is not easy, yet it is worth the effort. The Norwegian Pension Wealth Fund is one example of taking a more socially caring trajectory.  Finland's decision to ban homework from schooling is another example of a more compassionate policy that works in the best interests of school children.

I describe a trend here that has little in it to offer hope that we will find the kind of solidarity across Humanity to meet the challenges of Climate Disruption.

And at the same time, looking at this awful decision by the USSC I wonder what might happen when hundreds of millions, if not billions, of very intelligent, compassionate and creative women and their male allies refute this atrocious ruling, if we collectively recognise this a more than about abortion,  that this is part of a deliberate trend towards an  autocracy that protects the Wealth Extraction Ruling Class, a trend that is not the will of the majority of human beings alive today.

I remain hopeful for our futures, precisely because I know most people are decent, kind human beings albeit living within a social and material power system that is toxic, and yes, there is lots of work to be done to assure our children will not suffer from previous generations of oligarchs avarice, irrationality and evolutionary stupidity.

Climate Change is not the same as Climate Disruption.

Climate Disruption - The word 'Change' is a Euphemism.

'Climate Change' is a deliberate Euphemism.

It's akin to saying punching someone in the face and breaking a nose and some teeth, drawing blood, tearing flesh and causing concussion is changing a face - it is a destructive disruption of the face, a deliberate disruption.

Murdoch, a well known professional political grooming gangster - a disruptor, and a Climate Disruption denier.


Climate Change is not the same as Climate Disruption.
I fell foul of the euphemism of Climate Change for over a decade. Did you also fall for this deliberate abuse of language?

In 1985 Carl Sagan testified to the Congress of The United States Federal Government on The Greenhouse Effect. Here is part of his testimony, under oath, to tell the truth as he understood it.

What stikes me in this clip is his assertion that effective global action must come from a place of amity between all States, and that such amity was not present, and as such is a hinderance to effective action on prevention, protection and repair of harms caused. Climate Disruption demands the ending of the Militaristic competing powers dynamic, if we as a human culture are to meet the challenges ahead. Mr. Sagan was 110% correct.

I was truly unaware. I did not know. 

That lack of knowledge and understanding meant that as the 2000s rolled in I included the possibility that Climate Change was driven by the variations associated with the activity of the Sun, as much as that industrial activity Sagan referred to. 
It meant that I considered other long term variations as potential drivers of the changes our scientists and others are measuring and which we are now living through.
It meant I was unable (unwilling) to focus in on the fact that it's not precise to say 'human activity' is driving Climate Disruption, that in fact it is industrial activity at scale, grounded in externalising costs from material resourcing through production, consumption and end of life disposal, as the base of it's profitability that is driving climate disruption. Industrial profit evades the responsibility of mitigating harms caused by it's activity in order to be profitable. We must all pay the price. Collective responsibility.

Permaculturists are not driving climate disruption. 
Not all humans are engaged in industrial activity. 360 million indigenous, non developed people alive today (current estimates) are not involved in driving industrial activity, indeed their cultures and ways of living with the lands they inhabit are facing extinction as a direct result of industrial expansion, which is always seeking access to more cheap raw materials and cheap labour as a means to an end - maximising Wealth Extraction.
I think we need to use the term 'Disruption' because it is more accurate and helps focus the mind on what is being done. Since the 1980s when the issues of pollution, environmental degradation and CO2 adverse effect on the atmospheric homeostasis were confirmed, that disruption could no long be said to be accidental. It is deliberate.

The meaning of the disruption and it's impact was ignored in favour of Wealth Extraction.
It is that the chosen behaviour of ignoring and otherwise evading the costs imposed by industrial practices (and the costs of environmental degradation, warfare, racism, misogyny, poverty) that is key to a grounded understanding of the situation, an understanding that we need to fully grasp.

Manipulation of public perceptions is evil.

Yet again we see the evidence that Externalising Costs is the industrial cultures practice this falls under - 'we don't really care about the costs imposed, how those afflict people, or the environment,  we are continuing to extract wealth, and will use all power at our disposal to continue to do so, including manipulating people's perceptions.'.

I spent some time worrying about my 'carbon footprint, and castigating car drivers (I detest the combustion engine) for their much larger 'carbon footprint. I was an early adopter of recycling and repurposing plastics in my home. Yeah. I did not understand that I was being manipulated into a meaningless action designed to give the Oil Wealth Extraction Oligarchs more time to extract more oil from the ground and more wealth from us all.
The intentionality of BP promoting 'Carbon Footprint' to make consumers feel a combination of guilt and hope, the deviousness of Du Pont promoting plastics recycling rather than alter their production to minimise pollutants, in order to maintain and expand Wealth Extraction are genuine examples of evil.
Climate Change is not the same as Climate Disruption.

Disruption is intentional. It is intentional when one knows ones behaviour is causing a disruption. When a forest is cut down, so that Farming Corporations can grow beans to feed cattle, the environment is disrupted. They know this. When a Oil well leaks oil into the environment that disrupts the environment. They know this. When Plastic Particulates are littering our rivers and oceans, our snow capped mountains, and can be found on our blood and our food - that is disruption. And they know this. They knew all this long before anyone else. They had the science to prove it. And they did nothing to reduce the disruption.

When war is waged, that is disruption. They know this and still they do it.

Misogyny is disruption, Racism is disruption. They know this and still they do it.

So our work is to prevent the disruption. And then help the disrupted areas to recover.
This is not work to do by half measures, and it is work all of us need to become fully engaged with. It will not impoverish us, it will enrich all our lives. Failure to do so will betray all our descendants.

War Porn, Entertainment and the demand that we take sides in these atrocious wars.

There's so much more video from this latest warmongering nastiness perpetrated by Russia, Ukraine, USUK and the EU, than ever before. On line entertainment.

Let me make it clear from the onset that I know that Putin and his staff are War Criminals. As are Blair, Bush, Cameron, May and Johnson. Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen are all War Crime scenes. All horrific, disgusting War Crimes. Ukriane's war against Donbas is no exception. The UN has recorded many war crimes in that war too.

I stand for Peace, not War. I say that no War is justifiable. Not in the 21st Century.  We do not build Peace through warfare. Putin and Blair, and all others who have prosecuted wars since the 1991 invasion of Iraq deserve to be brought to the Hague to face War Crimes tribunals.

Corbyn could have stood as such, but was brought down by the low betrayal of the Labour Party hierarchy and the Oligarchy media, and voters myopia.

Western Europeans , Americans freshly and others are gorging on a diet of freshly filmed war porn, not least because it is closer to home and involves Caucasians on both sides, with 'our' side egging Ukraine on. The media pose this particular war as an existential threat to all of us - they neglect to say the same for USUK wars.

And the truth is all these wars pose a threat to all of us, in that they make it impossible to generate the global co-operation required to meet the challenges of Climate Change. And it is true too that for the unfortunate, traumatised Ukrainian civilians, Climate Change is a distal threat by comparison.

Interest piqued.

The mask of Civilisation has slipped, yet again. This one matters because it is closer to home.  The Sun and others publish videos of strikes on Russian military daily, more or less glorifying those murderous events, celebrating the death of those inside and the maiming of those nearby. 
"All lives matter!" they crowed in opposition to the Black Lives Matter Movement. Except those of Yemeni, Iraqi, Afghani and Congolese children.

Imagine similar videos from the wars in Yemen, Palestine, Gaza, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, with such a tone.

Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran!

NATO strikes good, Libyan strikes bad! They are all bad. There is no such thing as 'good' warfare. Both Russian and USUK Media celebrate their respective murders of workers - yes, all soldiers are workers too.

What is war? War is workers trained and equipped to murder other workers, commanded by Oligarchs waving Flags, so that Oligarchs can continue to extract wealth from workers - be they the Military Industrial Complex or shareholders of those companies.
“War porn,” n. Videos, images, and narratives featuring graphic violence, often brought back from combat zones, viewed voyeuristically or for emotional gratification. Such media are often presented and circulated without context, though they may be used as evidence of war crimes.

Videos of military strikes on either side are legion. The whoops, cries and chants of "Glory!" that celebrate violence, murder, destruction. The cool sound tracks of EDM, with thumping bass and crescendos timed to the explosion. The cool 'Babes in Uniform', ugly anti-feminism posing as feminism, applies make up, thrusting hips, the swaggering strides, the coy smiles of pride.

And yes,  it is understandable that the men and women directly involved in warfare will celebrate their 'victories'.  We know the dehumanising effect of war is immediate and ubiquitous. War crimes committed by enraged combatants are an old, old story - no army in combat is free of such incidents. 

The media do us all a disservice to pretend that the Rules of War (a criminal enterprise) matter much in the heat of battle, or indeed during the aftermath of a firefight, when revenge draws back it's bloody boot to kick the vanquished. Every war. 
Every war. Same old, same old.

The red mist, the blood lust, the hatred and the revenge are all harnessed by the War Mongers - they know this drives the battle on the ground, in hand to hand combat, in street by street urban warfare, in the rage and anger of civilians caught in the crossfire which demands an eye for any eye, and more and they demand that we accept that their side of any war is 'justified', that that tank full of workers deserved to be destroyed, it's occupants immolated. "We will stop this war by waging more effective total war than the other side" they say.
"Pick a side!" they say. "Neutrality is abject cowardice" they claim. "You are either with us, or against us!" Bush spoke, the world trembled. And the peace activists are called all manner of names, painted as naive at best, weak, cowardly and stupid at worst.

The peace activists are among the bravest among us. They call out the Militarism for what it is, in spite of the tide of Militarism's proponents.

Putin's ludicrous claims to be liberating Southern Ukraine are as risible and false as the USUK and NATO claims justifying war in Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq and Kosovo. 
Viewers of War Porn are encouraged to see these as acts of 'good violence'. Video commentary by citizens at a safe distance to war, praising one side or the other abound. Name calling, dehumanisation and angry, lurid calls for more violence percolate all our media platforms. Orcs and Towel Heads. Taighs and Gooks. The Romans called the Celts Barbarians. The Christian conquerors called the indigenous Savage Heathens. So it goes.

Peace?
Peace activists are almost entirely silenced by the ubiquity of  this barrage of celebratory violence to be found on video on demand, by the braying of sabre rattling politicians up to their eyes in grift, ands by the mind numbing cowardice of what purports to be The Free Press.

It is like the ring of a fist fight, with the audience baying for more blood, screaming for their champion - indeed this is how many people seem to get their thrills, making their bets on the outcome, lusting for victory and profit and the gambling  monsters happily rake in the cash.  The Press are the ring side commentators, cheering on their chosen heroes, extoling their fighting skills and resilience.

Fight Club
The first rule in Fight Club is never mention that Fight Club is stupid, inhumane and wasteful.
The first rule in War Club is never mention that War Club is stupid, inhumane and wasteful.
Where will one find footage of good people marching in protest, decrying all war, proposing negotiated solutions, demanding that power be shared as a socio-political measure of equity to be exercised for the interests of the health and welfare of everyone involved and beyond?

There are many, and the Oligarchy Press mute their voices.
One can spend hours watching short videos of this militarised violence, on most platforms, produced as propaganda, disseminating a celebratory attitude to the murder of workers -  yes, it is true : all infantry and mechanised soldiers are workers, trained to murder other workers, commanded by Oligarchs waving Flags, so that Oligarchs can continue to extract wealth from workers. That is what war has always been. Conquest, Booty, Loot, Dominance.

Oligarchs rake in profits as munitions are expended and more and more people are murdered, maimed, traumatised and displaced. That said wars are often followed by a building boom. Nice work, if you can get it.
We have all been long fed a diet of movie 'entertainment' extolling good vs bad violence, cleverly designed to get the viewer to identify with the hero. The murderer who gets the girl. The intimacy of sex in the midst of a war. The singular  Hero who saves a family, a village, a city, the World. From unrestrained violence to unrestrained sex, with all the best camera angles, the groans of death and climax juxtaposed, with tears and sighs and superb make up. 

So emotionally  moving. Sentimental and so touching, such wonderful acting. Awe, shucks, ooh, ahhh. Bullshit.
All the makeup to mask the ugliness of industrialised violence. Realism, they claim. It's not - it is war porn. It targets unresolved rages and wounds, dark emotions within populations, kindled for profit.
Weapons systems and munitions are the ultimate profit stream consumer item, with a very short life span, and an increasing demand for more, more, more munitions. They are all paid for in taxes of one form or another. More wealth extracted.
All wars end in negotiations. Corbyn has made the point, suggesting there's wisdom in take steps to skip the war fighting, and go straight to negotiations. He has a point. 
The UN has called many times for negotiated ceasefires, not only in regard to this most recent war upon Ukraine. 
In 2020 and 2021 the UN called for global ceasefires to make work on dealing with the Pandemic easier. 
USUK rejected those calls. Their wars in Syria, Yemen and elsewhere must continue. The governments involved in warfare throughout history have frequently rejected such calls, and have continued to pursue their aims through industrialised violence, at the expense of hundreds, if not thousands of millions of lives.

A history steeped in gore.
Today in Germany, on a US Military base, a meeting of 40 countries assembled to draw up plans for the defence of Ukraine. We all know of the arms sent to Syria, Yemen and Libya by the USUK and EU, Qatar, Saudi, Israel and others - a flow of the tools of extremist violence that has ruined those countries and destroyed the civilians peace and health and welfare for decades to come.
To my mind no single war exists as a stand alone event - these wars are connected by competing interests, an active culture of militarism, conquest, victory that denies the reality of the meaning of such slaughter. 
Refugees crossing the English channel in small, dangerous dinghies are the enemy, Ukrainian women folk and their children are exploited by Government and by people offering them sanctuary in their homes, as long as they can pay their way, bolstered by a promise of £350 a month promised by this odious misGovernment.
Meanwhile the citizens in the war zones suffer unmentionable abuses. Those citizens are entirely innocent. 

When will the onlooking worker-citizens so fortunately at a distance to these horrific wars among Earths States and the Oligarchies that dominate them reject militarism in their hearts and minds and, more importantly, at the ballot boxes and push hard to elect peacemakers to replace the war makers?

It cannot happen too soon.

The Earth is not happy, is it?

Everything I mention below by way of a nurturing behavioural dynamic becoming implemented as our global cultural dynamic is within the realms of possibility, and therefore there is both a practical and feasible path towards a happy Earth.

It is important to remember you and I were born into a culture that was a bully cult and that you and I did not create it.

It was truly scuppered before you I was born. It was scuppered long before any of us alive were born. And it's also true that some people are continuing to cause a lot of harm, and things are getting worse as a result. 

The core behavioural dynamic is externalising costs. That is evading the costs, impacts and harms of an activity engaged in, - Fossil Fuel Use, for example - by masking those costs, by ignoring those costs in Risk Assessments, by bribing policy makers to ignore those costs, by placing corporate employees into Government, by the costs do not exist, by denying the costs are linked to the activity - in essence the adverse impacts are kept external to the money transaction, the profit efficiency is maximised at every stage, from extraction of the Oil and Gas, to it's distribution, sale and consumption and it's waste products at every stage. Part of the activity is to gaslight anyone who becomes aware of these costs and starts to ask questions.

Did you know that the concept of a personal carbon footprint was popularised by BP in a 2004/5 marketing campaign that cost close to $1000,000,0000?

As I wrote above, the system was already toxic before either you or I was born. The costs of slavery were externalised. The costs of every Monarchs Wealth have always been always externalised. The costs of every war is externalised. People and environment endure those costs, both suffer and die from those costs, and the costs are neither prevented nor are they paid for by the profiteers.

Climate Disruption is an externalised cost of the Fossil Fuel Industry. Environmental Degradation is an externalised cost of Industrial Farming and Industrial Fishing practice. Particulate Pollution is an externalised costs of the combustion engine industry. PTSD is an externalised cost of Invasion and Warfare.

The question is this - would you like to help clean all this up? Is that what you'd like your children to inherit? The results of your best efforts to make the changes needed so that polluters pay the full costs and to prevent the problems they are causing. Think of your children and their contemporaries. Even if you don't have children, you do have a shared human adult responsibility to all the children.

Problems.
Climate Disruption is happening.
Pollution is continuing.
Environmental Degradation is a  constant.
Militarism is rampant, and wasteful.
Wealth Extraction and Concentration is the dominant economic and political dynamic, held in place by coercion.
Climate Disruption is more accurate than Climate Change. The climate has been disrupted. Industrial activity in pursuit of extremes of profit  has caused the disruption.

What to do?
We can draw down and cease the current activity that is causing the most disruption, and and we can hope that the climate somehow balances itself. 
We know biological world can recover and adapt. Volcanoes teach us that. Life returns to the barren surface, seeded from the surrounding biota.
It will mean a fossil free system. It will mean regenerative farming. It will mean better insulation in British homes. It will mean the redesign of all industrial processes - and that ought to reduce pollution as well as reduce environmental degradation.
It will mean making adaptations to our culture to protect the vulnerable, everywhere. It will mean intentional adaptation to new conditions, which might fluctuate. We must remain  responsive rather than knee-jerk reactive.
Militarism must be ceased. Immediately. Really. It is barbarism. Nothing more. This will take some time, and it must be started as soon as possible. Demilitarisation is critical to our shared futures.
Wealth Extraction and concentration as a Power base must be ceased. Wealth must be shared equitably. No question. vast wealth must be subject to legislative regulation that reduces those concentrations and limits their political and economic power to influence Governance.
These are all possible goals, albeit improbable whilst those who maintain Wealth Extraction and Concentration by coercion and manipulation, corruption and warfare remain in Power.
Wealth must be disenfranchised as a political movement. No question.
Egalitarian principles are already very well understood in human social philosophy and practice. There is nothing new in egalitarian social practice. This is not a matter of inventing something new, from the unknown.
The Earth is unhappy.

It doesn't have to be this way. It is not idealistic to think so, it is practical, humane and also obvious. That it is this way is clear, this is the way it is. And it doesn't have to be this way.
It is a very difficult time for everyone, as I know from my own direct lived experience right now, and from the multitudinous stories of the lived experience of billions of humans.
It has been this way for a while now, some 12,000 years. A friend recounted how he was travelling the Peruvian Hippie Trail, and he met and sat with some native folk, sharing a pot of tea and they were chatting, making amiable conversation, sharing stories and the conversation came round to the subject of 'end times'. My friend was worried about the 'end times' and very concerned, and he spoke of Hopi prophecies and other similar narratives.

The locals told him to not worry. "It's already happened! Our ancestors had seen the end of the world." History recounts that the end of their world had been brought to them through European colonisation, a violent conquest which commodified people and habitat alike to extract vast, vast wealth for Kings, Queens and their Oligarchs.

Which in turn led to rampant industrial raw material extraction with cheap hard labour the lot of the majority those who survived. Empires were built on the backs of enslaved peoples. European industrial power still stalks South America, as it does elsewhere. A lethal stalker. The history is well understood.

The Bully Cult.

That said, it is also true that the Bully Cultist cannot relax.

Every Bully Cult lives on edge, knowing that sooner or later the majority will respond, and it wont' be kind.
We will be kind. That is who we are. And we will be robust - we must. We have no other rational choice. Our children's future Earth days in time will be a celebration of having achieved these goals listed above.
Happy Earth Day. Let's get to work.

Kindness is political IV : “Our compassion may be infinite, but our capacity to help people is not."

Kindness is political. The choice to be kind, considerate and compassionate in the deliberation, design and implementation of policy is a political choice, The choice to be callous, indifferent or cruel is also a political choice.

The 1951 Convention Relating to the Rights of Refugees, is an international treaty which was ratified by the Government of the UK, which was a choice to protect people, as an act of legal, political, economic and community kindness. It states the rights of Refugees and Asylum Seekers and the responsibilities of receiving countries.

The thread behind this latest scam is that this is yet another way to pass taxpayer cash to corporate cronies, signing opaque contracts with entities that are responsible for terrible provision of what ever 'service' is being provided,(Test & Trace, PPE is one current example of this kind of behaviour) effectively farming vulnerable people for profits, without no evidence that this action will have the effect of improving their lives, securing their safety and welfare.

In effect, this Government are taking over the business of trafficking vulnerable people. Competition in the 'free market'. And as it happens, this plan will not stop the illegal trafficking from France across the English Channel.

Trafficking preys upon vulnerable people.

As it happens the  UK's international ambassador for human rights Rita French in July 2021 expressed “regret” that Rwanda was not conducting “transparent, credible and independent investigations into allegations of human rights violations including deaths in custody and torture”. The claim that Rwanda is a safe place to send vulnerable people is baseless.

This misGovernment knows this. 

The Kafkaesque difficulty of Ukrainian Refugees seeking refuge in Britain.

Listening to the radio this morning, I heard one caller tell of a story of a heavily pregnant Ukrainian mother who was trying to make her way to the UK. She was told when applying for her visa to enter the UK from Poland, a slow and unfriendly process (hostile environment, a coalition policy) where she was now a refugee, was told that if her baby was born before she entered the UK, the baby would need his or her own visa as well, or not be allowed to enter the UK. 
The unfortunate woman was so distressed by the delays and obstruction she faced  that she decided to return to Ukraine. To a country being invaded and destroyed by a cruel and vile Russian Military commanded to do so by Mr. Vlad 'The Invader' Putin. A Russian Oligarch.

This pregnant mother-to-be decided the lack of compassion - the political choice - of the English Government was a worse option than returning home to a war torn country in the midst of a horrific, disgusting war which appears to be escalating.

This is just one story, among many, many thousands of heart-wrenching and traumatic cases. UK is the only country demanding visas for Ukrainian Refugees as a condition of entry. Every other state is allowing entry, with visa application to be made once the refugees are safe. 

Boris Johnson spoke to day, and this is what he said : “We cannot sustain a parallel illegal system. Our compassion may be infinite, but our capacity to help people is not."
Infinite Capacity to help people?

When it comes to 'sustaining a parallel illegal system', it is the precisely the deliberate closure of previously available safe and official routes for Asylum Seekers and Refugees to reach the UK that created the fertile ground for the 'parallel illegal system'.

When it comes to helping people the blatant corruption of the Governments Crony Contracts for PPE, Test and Trace, and other policy choices that minted thousands on new millionaires shows exactly where this Governments priorities really lie.
He, and Priti Patel are such promiscuous and unapologetic liars, they are bullies, they are wholly inadequate to the social responsibilities of the High Office they occupy, sponsored by Oligarchs whose interest the represent.

A Government of Wealth Extraction, sponsored by Oligarchs, imposing policy generated in think tanks funded by Oligarchs, cannot represent the democratic electorate of England. 
They do not represent us at all.

They do not represent the people of England, the vast majority of whom are decent, kind law abiding persons, who do, as it happens, appear to host an almost infinite compassion if one looks ate the totality of the community voluntary sector and support for charities helping the most vulnerable people of our communities.

Fight for the Right to Party - a Satire Song about Johnson

Rwanda, as a destination venue for the vulnerable seeking refuge and safety?

This new 'policy' regarding Refugees, Asylum Seekers and others choosing the desperate  and dangerous path towards the UK and safety, seeking freedom from brutality, oppression and war, via small dinghies slowly chugging across the English Channel is a disgusting dog whistle policy designed to take attention away from the immediate issue of the Tory Death Parties.
If Parliament passes this legislation, then it is complicit in the cruelty of this atrocity engendering 'policy'. 

This issue and any, many others are all linked together in that they form part of a totality of deliberate, calculated, misGovernment that rejects the path of avoiding avoidable harms.
Yet another example of the flaws of English Democracy highlighted in The Power Inquiry, 2006. An executive political  power that despises the people, exploits bigotry and bias and does so to enrich the Oligarchy that sponsors this Government.
When will the English people take the only action that can counter this horrendous, Machiavellian monstrous misGovernment?
A general strike, a refusal to pay mortgages, rents and utility bills until parliament is dissolved and a general election is held to put into place a Government by the people.
