Letter to my MP regarding the fines imposed upon the PM, The Chancer and 50 Officials, regarding Parties, Lies and Misconduct In Public Office

My Dear MP.

Today we learn that the Prime Minister, The Chancellor of the Exchequer and 50 other Officials have been issued fines by The London Metropolitan Police for breach of CoronaVirus Laws governing gatherings. The highest Officials in the land have broken the Laws their own government drafted and imposed upon the population of England and the United Kingdom causing much difficulty and distress to citizens willing to make huge sacrifices to protect each other.

The culture of arrogance and impunity within the Cabinet Office and the offices of 10 and 11 Downing Street and elsewhere in Whitehall is implicated.

Compounding the case are the repeated lies uttered by the Prime Minister, even within The House of Commons, from the Front Bench, and the lies of others with regards to these parties. Such behaviour is yet again evidence of Misconduct in Public Office.

In https://www.peoplescovidinquiry.com Micheal Mansfield writes about Misconduct In Public Office.

“This People’s COVID Inquiry report is unequivocal – dismal failure in the face of manifestly obvious risks…This Inquiry performed a much-needed and urgent public service when the nation was hit by a catastrophic pandemic coincident with an unprecedented period of democratic deficiency.

It afforded an opportunity for the beleaguered citizen to be heard; for the victims to be addressed; for the frontline workers to be recognised; and for independent experts to be respected. When it mattered most and when lives could have been saved, the various postures adopted by government could not sustain scrutiny.”

“It was plain to Keep Our NHS Public (the organisers of the People’s COVID Inquiry) that Government words were bloated hot air, hoping to delay and obfuscate.

Within this narrative lies a theme of behaviour amounting to gross negligence by the Government, whether examined singularly or collectively. There were lives lost and lives devastated, which was foreseeable and preventable. From lack of preparation and coherent policy, unconscionable delay, through to preferred and wasteful procurement, to ministers themselves breaking the rules, the misconduct is earth-shattering.”

Dr Tony O’Sullivan, Co-Chair of Keep Our NHS Public and retired Consultant Paediatrician spoke at the public presentation of The People's Inquiry :

"We are shocked at the avoidable loss of tens of thousands of lives through the neglect of pandemic planning, the run down of the NHS, and the intense inequality in this country. We heard the pride of NHS, care and other frontline staff and we heard about their pain, exhaustion and moral injury. The level of government cronyism and resultant profiteering has been blatant and in plain sight. Our overall conclusion is that there has been misconduct in public office. This has to be addressed. If we ignore it, the country cannot learn the lessons from today to face the challenge of tomorrow.”

I agree with both of these experts on their analysis, which itself is based upon voluminous evidence presented to The People's COVID Inquiry.

We have all endured the COVID epidemic and it's terrible consequences, adverse consequences which are largely attributable to the blatant corruption, grift, misinformation, lies and gaslighting that is associated with this Governments deliberate mismanagement (*through not following 'The Science') of the COVID epidemic in England, which continues through to today and appears to be set to continue into the foreseeable future.

*Independent SAGE drew up a timeline of Scientific Advice offered to the Government and the Government's actions and failures to adhere to that advice.

I think it appropriate that you view this material, and understand the facts as they are.

That the highest Officials in the Land behaved as they did, as outlined above, and with regards to the Downing Street Parties, demonstrates that is abundantly clear that the threshold for indictments for Misconduct in Public Office has been met.

I write to you, as a sincere Constituent, a regular voter, a democrat and citizen to ask that you a) read the full report of The People's COVID Inquiry, and b) put a question to the House of Commons asking "When will the Prime Minister and other Officials, identified in the People's COVID Inquiry and those found to have broken the Law and who were fined for participating in The Illegal Downing Street Parties, be indicted for Misconduct in Public Office', prefacing the question with the quotes provided above, referring to the extensive materials gathered by The People's COVID Inquiry.

I look forward to your reply and to watching you put my question to the House of Commons. May justice, sanity and compassion reign therein!

It might be appropriate that in advance of my question being put to the house to suggest to you a thorough reading of the Legislation on Misconduct in Public Office and the stance of the Crown Prosecution Service in that regard.
