Jackie Walker, Anti-Semitism, Human Rights, North Dakota

Jackie Walker, British politics and anti-semitism.

“In terms of Holocaust Day, wouldn’t it be wonderful if Holocaust Day was open to all people who experienced Holocaust?”

What is wrong with saying this in an anti-semitism workshop?

and

“as a mixed-race person who is African and Jewish, I was making the point that why is the Cambodian genocide, which was after the 1940s, included and the African holocaust is not?”

She asked an honest question. A good question.

She didn't know that Holocaust Memorial day was limited to recent Holocausts.

She made a point.

Why not remember ALL Holocausts?

Why not acknowledge the universality of holocaust?

Would that not be a move towards more empathy, more peace, more honesty, less war, more peace?

William the Conqueror and the harrying of The North?

Her point is this : when this happens to any population by ANY means, when extermination or destruction of the majority of a people's civil polity and lives is a policy of a Hierarchy (South America and Spain, Belguim and Congo, Gt, Britain and Ireland, Gt. Britain and Bangladesh, Iraq, Libya, The Vatican and the children, Australia! and The Aboriginal Peoples, America and the Indigenous peoples of that land ..... ) we have to acknowledge that the lived experience of each and every individual subjected to that horror is meaningful - it says Hierarchies of Violence are corrupt.

When we look at it honestly.

It says Institutionalised Hierarchies of Violence are corrupt, evil and anti-human.

The International Statist system is still operating along those old lines of competition, war on many fronts, retaining power over a people, strategic 'interests'... etc, etc. It was the State as an institution that was the driver of all of these Holocausts.

Seeking power, those who take power all too often will claim any justification, use any demonisation and all kinds of manipulation, lies and propaganda, to promote their wars - and they do it intentionally. They always have.

No mistakes. Choices.

Iraq was a choice, not a mistake. Racism is bullying. Sexism is bully. UK Foreign Policy is bullying. To reserve Holocaust for only those events after WWII is a travesty, an irrational stance. She was correct to point it out.

We need to end the British Foreign Policy of war as a tool of strategic geo-politics.

That's her point.

If you read her comments in the full context of her life, our lives, the truth that is implicit in the point of her questioning.

So what is the point of the attempt to remove her from her role within Momentum?

That it follows the media pattern of seeking to undermine emergent people driven democratic policy formulation within a potentially electable Party which has allies outside it’s ranks…… is clear.

New Labour operatives managed the purge of voters. They were aligned with all who opposed Corbyn and Momentum. They shared advisors with those other opposers, they shared tactics, stories.

And every time, the grass roots has come back with an exacting analysis of the assault, one that exposes more of the detail of the hypocrisy, the bullying and the corruption.

They are at war. With us.

Natural Expectations, Human Rights, Living off the Land ……

Right now, in North Dakota, a continuation of an historical Holocaust is being played out.

One cannot separate the events under way and what has happened in the past. Life is a continuum.

Two Historians have shone some light on the American Revolution that gives some back ground to this situation.

The Colonial Elites had for some time sought to expand their land holdings (and empire) westwards but were stymied by two problems.

1. The presence of the Indigenous people's on the land they sought to appropriate. They did not have guns or cannon. They were therefore vulnerable to the greater military power.

2. The status of the Indigenous Peoples polities and land tenure in Europe. This latter issue was the more pressing of their problems to resolve.

European States had made a number of treaties with a number of Indigenous Nations recognising in European Law the validity of those po0lities and tenures. If this was allowed to progress, then the land to the West would be off limits, because those nations would have allies in Europe who could resist, by war fare and by economic war,

So they invented a scenario.

"No taxation without Representation"

By which they really meant, we (The Colonial Masters) want those taxes to fund our wars against the Indigenous peoples.... and we will use this pretext to break with Britain, undermine the established pattern of recognising Insigenous polities, and sweep westwards...

They were planning an operation that they knew would take at least a century. That's how far ahead these rulers think and act and plan.

The two writers are Howard Zinn and Anthony J. Hall.

The North Dakota Pipeline is a continuation of that policy.

Rights or Expectations?

I like to think of 'natural expectations' rather than 'rights'.
For me, to live off the land, as part of the land, to nurture oneself, one's community and maintain that environment in a healthy manner is a natural behaviour.

It's what all biology is doing if you look at outcome, and sense outcome as an intention.

Biology is alive and aware. I am biology.

It applies to me as I see myself - a bag of bacteria, earth material walking in the form of a human being.

This is my natural expectation - all my body systems are expecting that.

That I would spend my life nurturing the world that birthed me, in gratitude for the gift of life and with respect for my ancestors, that line of living wisdom, and with a sense of my duty to the future generations that I will be an ancestor of in turn.

Such fun! Such joy! Much hard work. Much music!

Good food, and great love in life. These are not rights, they are natural expectations.

Earth does not owe these to me, it expects me to make an effort. It does not expect that that effort will be trampled upon by bullies.... we are not adapted for that.

Rights come into play in a social situation of a hierarchy of Power, where some have more power than others and abuse those powers.

I think it's critical to make this distinction.

And yes, I have a song about it....

Recorded live @ Galstonbury...

Mothers Day. Why only one a year?

Mothers Day. Why only one a year?

Mothers Day.

Thank you Mother.

For everything you were able to share, and for what you were unable to share, for bearing your own loss whilst still holding me, despite all the wounds you endured and the social power setting within which you and our shared mother line has borne so much oppression, for so long.

Thank you Motherhood.

Bless you mothers who do so much that is taken for granted, whilst being subjected to a stream of judgmental propaganda, whilst your situations are being deliberately made more stressful.

Bless You!

All of you!

My gratitude knows no bounds...

Thank you. 2 billion mothers... 2.254.365.221 MOTHERS.

And this : The social power system has to change and meet the true needs of optimally healthy human parenting as a primary mission of de-pollution, of ecological recovery, of sustainable human development. Sooner or later. One way or another.

We need a MOTHERS movement! Everyone is involved!

That is our job.

The rest of us.Mothers Day....

Why only one a year?  Why so mean?

I feel appalled when I observe the hypocrisy of the institutional social systems behaviour towards healthy empathic parenting and towards the children of the nation. From the Vatican to Savile, from recruiting the youth of the poor for war to drugging millions of children into a more compliant state, it is all an assault on both mother and child, which are at the very heart of our human biological and experiential realities that tears us all to pieces.

And what is torn apart is in each case, so precious a life, so exquisite a being, so vulnerable and alive and the tearing of that and the pain caused is in every case an abomination, a negation of the womb, a psychotic dead-end.

Mothers Day.

Syrian Mothers Day.

Palestinian Mothers Day.

Bullied Mothers Day.

Blame it all on the mothers day, every other day. It's somebody's fault, rather than it's a systemic disease state that the power system engenders, deliberately.

Natural Expectations, rather than cultural assumptions.

Empathy, compassion, vision, a long time line, a desire to nurture and the wisdom to be able to do so in many varied ways, as varied as language group or topography or climate dynamics... these are the qualities I write about in my book, that I attempt to describe as being bio-logical - meaning in the logic the we see emerging from within dynamic living ecosystems of biologically optimally healthy organisms : "Natural Child, Natural Society : both are cause and effect."

And I describe how those qualities are undermined over time when unresolved trauma leads to intergenerational behaviour patterns associated with the need to control others in order to mask a loss of sense of security, and how these behaviour patterns become institutionalised throughout history, and their justifications then inhabit the core of the cultures permitted thinking and analysis as sacred fact.

Mothers Day.

A flower is an expectation of a bug, and of the day and night sequence, and of creative potential in it's role in procreation and as a food source.
A child is also an expression of a set of biologically entrained expectations which if met, leads to the emergence of a capable and competent adult who will hold the space and have the experience for those expectations to be met, consciously, with intent.

So too with mothering, fathering, parenting and indeed relating in healthy, nurturant ways to each other and the world around us. Each are sets of biologically mandated behaviours that are markers of optimal human health.

Know this, and fight back!

Our Mothers are worth it!

The basics of our society are reflected in how we relate to and treat the children

The basics of our society are reflected in how we relate to and treat the children and the most vulnerable people within our society...

The natural expectations of every child, the biological mandate for healthy bonding that supports the child's growing awareness of self and the child's sense of autonomy as key elements in a healthy society....

This is my song about this:

The expectations of every child
To be held in love, all the time
To know safety with every touch
These are the ways we need, it's not so much...
These are the gifts, that life on earth is meant to bring
The expectations of every child,
Acceptance, gentle guidance with a smile,
Honest answers to their questions of life,
Space to grow, fully assured and bright.
The expectations of every child,
To find a safe place to learn in good time
So that the child knows and trusts the heart
Then grows the child in confidence, that is the art..
The expectation of every child,
To know the family, to feel the line
Of ancient stories, and harmonies
The child is born to know that she is free.
The expectation of every child,
To be respected all the time,
To be chosen with the highest love,
So honour the child you hold, that will be enough.....
These are the gifts that life on earth is meant to bring
Do you bring the gifts? Do we bring the gifts?
You can listen to it at this link, and it is available as a free download.

I hope it strikes a chord with you all. For as adults we all share a responsibility to all the children.

Mother's Day, and the ultimate political challenge!

Christianity dis-empowers the Mother. So too most Political power systems active today.

God is male and has no partner. 'He' has no Origin, no birthing, no Mother. He does not 'need'.

This is the idealised psychopathic male - total control over all, impervious, invulnerable.

I strongly feel that these kinds of Religions or ideologies are outcomes of unresolved trauma, a form of PTSD that has become the 'norm' over time, and has been Institutionalised...

If ten people with unresolved trauma issues create a social structure, it will have that psychology built into it and it will express or articulate that psychology by it's processes, in it's aims and intent, and in it's outcomes.

ALL the structures of Power that we have today have their origins in psycho-pathological social structures that have emerged over history.

The Department of Defence. We have no Department of Peace, no ministry of conflict resolution.
The Vatican is a Power structure much more than it is a spiritual structure, or a temple...

If those ten people who have unresolved trauma issues start families and they have children, then aspects of the adults psychology will be taken up by the children, to greater or lesser degree.. this is intergenerational trauma patterning.. the trauma remains unresolved, the patterns continue to be passed on as 'normal'.

If the children are put through a rigorous conditioning process known as 'State Education' or 'Private Education', both of which are social structures created by people whose unresolved trauma issues permeate those systems, and they fail to recognise and then deal with the unresolved trauma issues, then the patterning will go deeper, because the experience of 12 years in such a social setting will leave it's mark, and one of those marks will be the neurological pathways associated with the assumptions, and the internalisations of the systems values, which are mostly PTSD based.

These children will become adults who see the unresolved trauma state as 'normal'. They will continue to build this into their lives, and they will continue to support  the normalisation of PTSD values...

And in all of this it is considered 'normal' that Mothers work is unpaid, unmentioned in economic scales, ignored in political power plays and undermined by primary economic assumptions such as both parents need to be in debt and need to be working to pay of the debt to fit in to the 'home ownership demographic' - the 'value' to the system of that indebtedness supersedes the value of mothering. This is blatantly an insanity. It's profoundly unhealthy.

Nurture is the only pathway through all of this.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Let's make it more than a once yearly, coy, sly nod to Motherhood. Let's put mothering at the centre, with the welfare of the children , now and for generations to come at the VERY centre, the core of our culture.

It's EASY to wish Happy Mothers Day, and so many cards, flowers etc make it a commercial venture - yet to do the HARD WORK of mothering, or to bring THAT to the core of our Society whether one is male or female is to challenge EVERY THING we are given, every ideology and religion, every known economic system, at the most profound level of all - the reality of nurture. The lived experience. The day-to-day life.

Who has the 'balls' for this work?

Who is mature enough to stand with ALL the mothers in daily action?

Bill Hicks, Maggie Thatcher and a decent funeral.

"All members of society deserve decent burial." wrote a good friend.

I agree.

Just as all members of society deserve a happy birth, a nurturing and playful early childhood, joyous exploratory late childhood to teen, in effect a healthy environment within which to learn as they grow in to mature adults who function as an empathic community, and so on.

Notwithstanding accident, illness or freak events.... in context of reality, here.

Without the grief and weight of a culturally imposed behavioural relational 'generation' gap, a psychic and physical misunderstanding which now exists,
as state and corporate and ideological policy which makes understanding, even of shared experiences, less likely between people within families.
For example, John Holt explained how state educational protocols and practices harms children in How Children Fail , which is probably one of the best books on the subject, ever!

In 'How Children Fail' Holt explores the adverse outcomes of compulsory state education are made more understandable, and therefore more preventable, from the child's point of view. Written by an empathic adult.

This experience is so far from the biological 'norm' - optimal health - of our aboriginal ancestral experience even to the present, where such societies are still living. And that experience is replicated at every level of the dominant hierarchical system, affecting all who live within it. 'no child left behind'.....

Most Statist style mothers and their children, as well as between grandparents and grand children, teachers and pupils, experience on a daily basis aspects of this lack of empathy, of understanding.

I call it Unconscious Statatism Experience.

It's most certainly not the human biological mandate.

"All members of society deserve decent burial." wrote a good friend. Once they are dead.

I agree.

All members of society also deserve clean, nurturing food, and a place to rest. The needs of life well met. As a shared ethic. Just the basics.

Oh, there's also this innate expectation that peace reigns: ALL babies have it more or less, it's an emerging sense, an understanding or an intuition that peace is more, much more than the merely the absence of war.

Quite a lot more.

Including, as we noted before, a decent burial on event of Death.  Not before, That would be most indecent.

The feeder of life.

Life being the icing on this particular cake, death being part of the the base of it all.

We get one living chance as who we are, and to use it to nurture is biology winning.

Some do. Some don't. You know who you are.

Perhaps more will do, in time. We can nurture more.

It's likely in as much as it's a biological mandate, optimum health.

Bury the dead. Take the piss out of Power while thwarting it's adverse behaviours.

Always.

It is appropriate to note any particularly adverse Official, or other persons or entities wielding power over people in ways that are harmful, at any level of society, community  or family, by taking the piss out of those people and entities, be they alive or dead, exposing their behaviour for what it is, or was and at the same time ensuring the performance generates a show that is side hurtingly funny. Even timeless.

Partly in the hope, on my part at least, that such accolades for IMPORTANT INSTITUTIONS AND PEOPLE SERIOUSLY FUCK THINGS UP would reflect a growing, broader, wider, well informed diverse and active dissent.

It might reflect the presence of an active people ethic capable of organising as a single societal actor, like a crowd source wave, an ethical flash mob if you will, consisting of an informed electorate and an honest judiciary, acting together, which might in time be so common, and thus thwart or deter to some greater degree behaviour by Power of a similar nature in the future.

Things ARE hard for so many people.

And it's not 'life' - it's the outcome of the hierarchical power relationship dynamic of people who live within what we call Society, where those with Power harm those without power, and then conveniently blame the powerless for their powerlessness.

Life is mostly nurture.

Decent Life, Decent burial.

Whatever the state of the economy.

Brian Blessed on 'Have I Got News For You' or BBC offered to help the economy, (always a solid conservative policy), by putting in a bid to make the coffin, for Margaret Thatcher's funeral. For £25.

The Blessed One told the audience that had once he worked making coffins, when he was quite young, and that he had made a few hundred in his time.

The whole first half of the show takes the piss out of the news of Margaret Thatchers passing (the news of it, the 'reporting' not the actuality of it) with some degree of spot-on-ity and I found it rather funny.

The show reminded me of the late Bill Hicks, whose hatred of the outcome's of Power never diminished his comprehension of the humanity, warped as it may be, that lies at the heart of all our lives. Even the lives of tyrants.

That grace enables the humour, and in good satire it does not dissuade dissent. It encourages it, feeds it non biased inspiration. It's a love thing, really.

Bill Hick's. Rest in Peace, bro!

Nurturant Biology

'Natural Humans Beings' is one thing. Adapted to Oxytocin. Peace.

'Conditioned/traumatised Human Beings' is another thing. Adapted to Cortisol. Stress.

Each will give up a different emergent Societal Modality.

Or a spectrum of Societal Modes,

Egalitarian, Empathic towards ever more Hierarchially Violent.

Natural Humans Beings is one thing. Adapted to Oxytocin. Mother Child bonding.

Conditioned/traumatised Human Beings is another thing. Adapted to Cortisol. Stress. Indoctrination, War.

Nature undoubtedly tends towards resolution of problems. Oxytocin. Dopamine. Serotonin.

It's in our nature. It takes time.

The wounds are deep, and everywhere.

I TRUST the innate biology of myself, of all of us,

it has immense wisdom, bio-logic.

The natural self healing, the natural flow towards maturity and nurturing .....

is in everything alive! Or is alive in everything ....

...and

rather than instructions or explicit directions,

I have found that supportive discourse does help the individual

to make his or her own pathway,

using their own inner resources

and receiving those they may find on the path,

through meeting brothers, sisters, one's recognised family of life

... and seeing all paths connected,

as each path is itself interwoven with all life,

thus there is plenty enough for all to thrive.

And we ARE in it together.

Revolution or Emergent Recovery from a post traumatic stress Society?

By the way REVOLUTION is a rotation around a fixed point.... that fixed point may move forwards or backwards, which describes the trajectory of Power throughout History. That fixed point is the use of Power adversely against the most vulnerable, to meet the perceived needs of the most Powerful.

Thus all the prevailing mainstream and political media discourse is about how to 'save civilisation', to 'save Western values'.

The wars underway at present are driven mostly by the 'strategic interests' of Western styled Corporations and States

The values of the Powerful.

And, it must be asked, and answered honestly: who pays?

The truly impoverished, the relatively poor, the vulnerable, the elderly, the native peoples of the world, the environment...... and ultimately all our children pay, and their children will pay unless we - that's you and I, and my friends and family and your friends and family, our neighbours and our communities decide that we refuse to pay that price for the needs of Power.

What I want to see and feel is an emergent recovery from a post traumatic stress based Society, such that we recover our innate, empathic and nurturant psychology at EVERY level of our Culture.... this a long term project, the work of many decades, for all the children's futures (which is our primary responsibility as adults..)

DIRT : The Movie. A Nurturant Society...

Previously I have written a piece on the Nurturant Society, and coined the word THRIVIVAL. I have used this word in a few essays to describe a reality that I see in nature all the time. I have used it to make a distinction between the sense of 'survival' which is less than abundant, is fear based and generates unnecessary need to over control things that actually reduces the likelihood of Thriving.

A Nurturant Society is the emergent Society that by it's action nurtures life for all life, that by it's action takes an equal part in the biology of life, that by it's action enjoys the life it expresses and returns the gifts that life has bestowed upon it. Thrivival is the state of such a Society.

The movie DIRT is a stunning documentary, a profoundly nurturing expression of what is truly possible, what is within our ability to bring into being. It's about the living soil and our relationship to that living soil. It's not an ideological movie. It's a natural logic movie.

Watch it. It's amazing. See the effect working with plants and soil has on incarcerated people. See the rapidity with which soil and humans can remediate damaged lands.

DIRT : THE MOVIE

Get yer hands in the soil and help plants do what they love doing, gifting you and universe in the process.

We REALLY NEED to focus on the creation of a Nurturant Society, at every level of our Culture, starting with our own lives, and extending outwards into our communities, and we need to look at EVERY process and activity we are engaged in and really understand that if it is NOT Nurturing more life for all life, then it HAS TO GO!

It really is THAT SIMPLE. We are either nurturing life or we are not. And when we look at what we do, we have to take into consideration ALL the outcomes..... no 'externalisation' of costs. No justifying adverse 'collateral' damage because of one or two perceived benefits.

And we need to start NOW!

ALL LIFE MATTERS. There exists a viewpoint that is an expression of resignation, extreme low self esteem and profound selfishness.

It runs a bit like this :

"Nothing really matters, at the end of the day. We all live for a bit, have a few good times then die."

When we die, the materials our bodies are made of are released back to feed more life.

We give back what we have been given as a gift to those who have yet to come. We do this, and we gift life. That is the bare minimum.

It's a choice as to whether or not we take action in our day to day life to bring that gift or not, before we die and release the materials of our bodies.

Your materials will be released whether or not you like it or get it. That much is assured. Death assures us all of that.

What is not assured, and what is down to OUR CHOICE, is whether or not our actions nurture more life for all life and return the gift. It's your choice, it's my choice and yet I ask that each of us bears in mind that our choice has an affect on others, and if you chose not to, if I chose not to, then we deprive others yet to come of their access to that gift, by defaulting on the action possible in our lives.

I am not trying to lay a guilt trip on you. The Dominant Society is a pretty grim place to have been born into, and I wouldn't say to anyone DO NOT ENJOY BEING ALIVE.

I am just pointing out the REALITY. And the possibility.

When I confront the Church, the Government, the Corporations I do it to bring that gift through, and not to get revenge or to become the judge and punisher. That's not saying that I intend to let those Institutions of the hook, or that I give them an excuse or that I am going to be all soft and fluffy. It's to make it abundantly clear where I stand and what I intend. I will not back down, and neither should you!

Here's the video

You can download this song for free (all my recordings are open source, creative commons licensed) from my Reverbnation Music Page....

I wrote this song about 21 years ago, and it is the basis of all my work since that time. It was inspired by John Holt, Alice Miller, Carl Rogers and by my daughter and her mother, and by Nurturant Mothering in and of itself.

It arose out of my own adverse childhood experience and the realisation, late in life, that that experience was entirely avoidable, and is one that I and many others have suffered needlessly.

It also is true to say that the future of 'Civilised Humanity' lies in the extent to which we, as indivduals and as a society, are willing to act and behave and respond with Empathy towarda our children, towards all children, and with that, a degree of self-empathy, a willingness to honestly  reflect on the realities of our own childhoods is a necessary, though perhaps uncomfortable discipline.

I urge all who read my work to spread this insight. There is much work to be done, and we can have a lot fo fun doing it!
