The Bail Outs, Banking Fraud, Gambling and unelected Governments

With all that is happening, and happening fast - the Governments of Italy and Greece are now effectively an unelected, imposed Government, and populated by people who have been executives of Goldman Sachs, by 'economists' and technocrats whose conflict on interest is clearly weighted in favour of the banking system.

Whereas in Iceland this has been avoided by the determined action of the people ..... who put so much pressure on their Government that their demands were met...

The current Government in the UK is also effectively unelected, as the coalition was NOT voted for, but arranged behind closed doors, at a crucial time.

Here's a documentary that explores how the recent 'crash' was the natural outcome of policies of deregulation by Governments populated by people closely aligned to the 'Investment' Banking sector and the privatised Central Banking systems, fraud and unfettered greed.

The story of New York Governor and former Attorney General Elliot Spitzer's downfall is instructive, and well documented by the BBC Storyville Documentary "Elliot Spitzer : The Sheriff of Wall Street".

This documentary is clear, it is not overburdened with exotic detail, and it shows exactly HOW the current crash and bailout was engineered ..... worthy of a couple of viewings....

Open Letter to The Irish People from a Survivor, regarding the IMF deal.

Just as the Irish Government indemnified The Vatican against ruinous litigation that threatens it as a result of it’s officers endemic abuse and betrayal of children for over 80 years, a crime so large and so lengthy that it defies comprehension, so to they are indemnifying the Irish Banking Sector, the European Central Bank and it’s investors (who hold assets worth 20 trillion euro, which is 5000 times the Irish DGP) for what is reckless behaviour, and as we see, abusive in character.

The victims are being punished for the crimes of their abusers.

Ireland’s people, you must awaken to the facts; there is pattern here, you have been abused in one way or another for many hundreds of years. Abusers always justify their abuse, and always post facto rationalise their decisions.

They have their apologists, of course. Those whose livelihoods are entwined with the abusers will resist being made to face the reality of their relationship with power. Media, Banking, Civil Service Mandarins and others who ‘lobby’ for their own personal gain – Unions who limit their protest to the issue of wages are an example, as are the mainstream charities who refuse to confront the abuses of Government face on.

People of Ireland, You cannot avoid facing this truth. You MUST not. To do so is to place your own children in jeopardy.

You must confront the abuser and stop any further abuses from taking place.

This means that you must also inform yourselves as to the means, methods and manipulations of the abuser, you must understand in detail how you have been abused, and how you have ‘adapted’ to that abusive status quo – for they who represent Power and The Status Quo will not let go voluntarily, and will not hand themselves in for indictment. Remorse is rare in their circles. And those who simply push them aside will repeat the same patterns, for such is the nature of centralised Power.

Evidence for this is everywhere, not least in The Vatican or the HQ of AIB.

To do all this will entail effort on your part, and perhaps some discomfort, and it will be an effort that will be necessary to sustain for some time. Such is the role of any parent.

You must separate yourselves completely from the abuser, and render the abuser to the Criminal Justice System for indictment, trial and conviction where the evidence supports it.

And by doing this you will re-assert your right to DECIDE at the grass roots the future path of Ireland as a PEOPLE. You cannot leave it to merely voting for people over whom you have no Power once they are in Office as in days of old.

Participative Democracy is perhaps the best way forward, and is technically easy to achieve with a well educated and diverse population. It means that Power resides at the grass roots, and that the National and local Government and Civil Service sectors obey the grass roots and facilitate the needs of the grass roots. It means that lobby ends, that the party whip, which is fundamentally anti-democratic is abolished. It means that every adult gets involved, and that the voices and lived of the most vulnerable, be they child or adult is also taken into consideration and informs decision making.

I wish for Governance by the most vulnerable, to set the tone of a future Ireland, where children are not abused by priests, where people are not abused by deprivation, where greed is treated as the ugliness that it is, where Society and Community and Environment are truly peaceful, empathic and sustainable.

It can be done; it doesn’t have to be the way it has been.

Ireland needs the IMF .................

By way of introduction, here's a really simple over view.  Irish banks were given 'easy credit' during the 90as and into the 21st Century by the European Central Bank (this is quite different from the funds given to the Irish Government by the EEC as grants etc etc). Interest rates were low, and there was an almost endless supply of credit. The Irish Banks then lent that money to property developers, corporations, mortgage holders. Many of these loans were suspect from the start. They also bought Derivatives as an 'investment'. In fact the vast bulk of the money the Irish Banks borrowed was gambled on derviatives.

This 'new' lending business made the shares of these Irish banks rise to such an extent that they were overvalued, that is to say the banks did not have the REALISABLE assets to back those share prices.

When this became apparant, the share prices tumbled, and then the 'economic crisis' hit.... and now they are technically insolvent. If they were any other business, they'd be placed into administration and creditors would be paid of with what ever resources available. Being that these banks are High Street Banks the first to get paid off HAVE TO BE THE HIGH STREET CUSTOMERS., the desposit accounts, the cash that is realisable.... the rest get what's left....

Instead what is happening is this : the Irish Government is borrowing more money (at interest) to give to the Irish banks (as loans, or by buying shares, thus nationalising the banks) to strat to pay off the European Central Bank debts of the Banks (close to 500 billion in total!).

The first 100 Billion Euros will cost an extra 6.5 Billion Euros annually in interest alone...

And so the Irish people are being FORCED to underwrite these transactions. And pay yet more interest. They are being FORCED to pay for debts they did not incur.

Letting the banks collapse would cost about 3-4 billion if the Irish Goivernment guaranteed all the Oridnary Irish Account holders....

1. This article reveals who the Irish Government are borrowing money for to pay - and it has nothing to do with Irish peoples pension funds, nor any real threat to the banking sector...

"on one side we have Ireland whose bond holders, its people, have between them a total GDP wealth of 0.207 trillion euros.  Who are being FORCED, against their will, to pay Anglo Irish bank's debts to its bond holders, who between them hold 20.8 Trillion euros."

2. READ 'THE SHOCK DOCTRINE' a book BY NAOMI KLIEN..

"With a bold and brilliantly conceived thesis, skillfully and cogently threaded through more than 500 pages of trenchant writing, Klein may well have revealed the master narrative of our time. And because the pattern she exposes could govern our future as well, The Shock Doctrine could turn out to be among the most important books of the decade."
- William S. Kowinski, San Francisco Chronicle"

"In THE SHOCK DOCTRINE, Naomi Klein explodes the myth that the global free market triumphed democratically. Exposing the thinking, the money trail and the puppet strings behind the world-changing crises and wars of the last four decades, The Shock Doctrine is the gripping story of how America’s “free market” policies have come to dominate the world-- through the exploitation of disaster-shocked people and countries.

At the most chaotic juncture in Iraq’s civil war, a new law is unveiled that would allow Shell and BP to claim the country’s vast oil reserves…. Immediately following September 11, the Bush Administration quietly out-sources the running of the “War on Terror” to Halliburton and Blackwater…. After a tsunami wipes out the coasts of Southeast Asia, the pristine beaches are auctioned off to tourist resorts.... New Orleans’s residents, scattered from Hurricane Katrina, discover that their public housing, hospitals and schools will never be reopened…. These events are examples of “the shock doctrine”:"

Here's a documentary on her book. The book itself  is way better, 'thoroughly well researched and referenced (so ya can check the facts for yerself!) .... cos ya gotta know the detail and the scope to REALLY get it...

3. And here's my song : Ireland needs the IMF like Anne Frank needed a Drumkit, like the Children need The Vatican, Like Ghandi needed a haircut!

..... and here's hoping that Anne frank would take this in pretty much the same way, were she alive to day. Her spirit is.

Sing along and ENJOY it! The Chorus is built for harmonies!

Resist. Learn. Grow strong!

On Big Business

A letter from Big Business urging George Osborne owards with the 'cuts'.

To all those who claim big business generates the taxes that the Government spends... WRONG.

Who buys the products with built in obselesence?

We do, consumers, families, on the pittance Big Business throws our way in compensation. Because we have no choice, as durable goods that last for many years are rare.

Who exposes their children to scientifically applied 'nagging' marketing?

We do, because there is no alternative. Big Business has seized all public space for it's propaganda. And is busily finding 'creative' ways to invade private space as well.

Who takes a slice of every transaction between food producers and our tables?

Big Business: through it's myriad of subsidiaries and shell companies.

Who makes processed foods that are a root cause of about 80% of degenerative disease, which costs the Health systems of all State so many billions - much of which is profit for those Big Business suppliers to State Health Systems..

Big Pharming. The simple and ugly elegance of this particular scam was outlined in some detail by Anne and Harvey Diamond in the early 80s in their soft-cover 'Fit for Life'. The data on this is now vast!

Who makes a profit out of 'care' and most often gets it badly wrong?

Private Care Homes. Who were foisted on our elderly, under the impression that private enterprise would upgrade the lived experience - well, Gerry Robinsons programme on that very subject last winter made it really clear that is NOT the case. And the Government chimed in with a policy that demanded that the elderly sell up and move into these homes (to fund the programme, thus converting their homes into someone elses profit)

Big Business functions to convert 'resources' into profits - the means to do this are the  sale opf mostly useless products and services, (80% of all consumer goods inthe USA are placed in a bin within 6 months of use - The Story of Stuff : http://www.storyofstuff.com/ ) and they are a morbid compensation offered to the majority in teturn for their toil in work that is not for their own benefit, and often not at all satisfying, psychologically, emotionally, spiritually.

The lack of adequate analysis and empathy in those who blow the trumprt of commerce is equal to those who blow the trumpet of what passes for corrupted Governance as we know it, be it centre, right or left - which is fundamentally the legalistic contractual licensing of Big Business to do as it will and earn those amassed profits at the expense of all but themselves, and the illegitimisation of any one who dissents and or provides an alternative vision of Society, and of course, with the added topping of  exercising that nasty urge to take an good hard kick at the under-dogs, the very much less well-off, the vulnerable, the damaged.

The unwillignness of Big Business and or Governance to honestly enagage with those alternatives in an open discourse on the best possible future for all our children belies the strength of their logic, practice and propaganda.

The truth is in this Society the many work for the opulence of the few, and the poor, damaged and vulnerable are fair game in the war to preserve comfort over dignity.

Big Bollocs! more like it. One has to have BIG BALLS of some kind to write such a letter under such circumstances where the people's debt is due to in large partt Government borrowing money from Banks to bail-out Banks, for conducting long term policies that have made nearly all people into debtors, finally stooping so low as to offer 'credit' to poor people in crap housing to buy the house and 'do it up', and than claiming that Society (apart from big business) and Nature must pay the costs, whilst the bankers suggest the price!

It's almost as good a con as the "God Loves you and HE NEEDS YOUR MONEY!" scam.

That both are frankly unbelievable is borne out by the formers imposition of it's creeds upon small defenceless chidlren, and in the latter case, by the walled enclaves and hired guns euphemistaclly called 'security contractors' of the super rich (Monsanto now OWNS  a good proportion of Xe, which was formerly known as Blackwater) and the existence of poverty itself.

Here's George Monbiots article on the list of quangos the media DID NOT Examine....

Nazi Germany, Compliance, Families and War in the 21st Century.

Alice Millers work, "The roots of violence in child-rearing practices : for your own good" looked at this, and in particular, the Nazi Ideology and access to power, and came to the conclusion that most people are bullied by parents, by school, by religion, by commerce, by government ... and it ranges from subtle to intense and lethal.

It is the conditioned acceptance of such a psychologically dysfunctional status quo as 'normality', that each individual must take on, that is the source of such mass emotional blindness, as emerged in Nazi Germany, and which can be manipulated by those in power, by way of propaganda, schooling, laws and force.

a show concept promo

What pins it all together is the phrase "I am doing this for your own good!" uttered frequently by those who punish others .... and for the child who is frequently punished, by living through it and surviving, and then shutting down what is unresolved of it, this a survival tactic of the child. The child adopts that same justification/values as ‘good’ and internalises those values as their own. That
process is essentially how the system is set in place.

And it will remain so until the child/adult recognises it, and works through it, for themselves, in their own way..

Bush invaded Iraq and killed Iraqi civilians for 'their own good' - Blair bombed Kosovo’s for 'their own good' ... all of them say this, and then murder civilians (these days, 90% of war casualties are civilians..) ... and we let them get away with it. What has changed since Nazi Germany? Not much, really when I analyse it.

We comply. And that compliance is why the banks are getting away with robbing us blind. Now we each of us can sort ourselves out, by being ruthlessly honest, and at the same time we can work together to spread the word, to learn and to build grass roots resilience. WE CANNOT influence the fundamentals of Governance as they won't listen and will not voluntarily change... Sop we must change, we must break the cycle, because we can : and so we must build grass roots resilience, health and food and a sense of community being of vital importance.

This mission, should one chose to accept it will be lifelong. It may involve laughter and tears, joy and horror. It may be short or it might seem at times eternal. Luckily, nature has ensured that all one needs for one’s mission (essentially just being your true self) is either within you, or just within reach. Apart from those moments when you can’t see or grasp them…. that’s what ones senses are for… as well as for bliss, to which human senses, amongst others, are exquisitely attuned. Naturally!

Comparing Government and people to dysfunctional violent families works really well as a model that helps me, at any rate, to understand why people play power games, and how and why the system is being perpetuated by conditioning..... abusers, justifiers, abused, scapegoats, children who parent the parents, favourites, outcasts, power pyramids, suppression of the truth by all , even the victims, projections .... these are all political power characters as much family dynamics. They all have a tale to tell about their experience, and they all feel their place in the structure, identifying with it. That it is strong structure is obvious.

However the good news is that when the bulk of the family/society refuses to continue to play the abusers game, the abuser has to stop ….and this is true for all power relationships ….and power must then face the truth, or endure a breakdown, a collapse of the shielding justifications, if healing is ever to be a possibility …..

I see no logical reason, no incontrovertible data as to why this is not possible, and certainly none that would question the innate and natural desirability of such. This is how natural humans tick. This is no utopian an ideal.

Utopias usually arise out of Autopias. That is to say, an imperfect condition is ‘improved’ and the imperfect ‘instructed’ by those wise enough. Utopias arise out of mechanical applications of concepts, which is yet again, an exercise of POWER over others ……. Hence my word Autopias. Utopias tend to be perfected authoritarian human lawns.

The best hope for the abuser/power user is in their own hands, and responsibility for that must be left with them, and them alone.

That is why imprisonment has to be seen to be realistic and understood to be applied as a viable restraint, and not as a punishment, until such time as the potential for harm is reduced, by virtue of strong healthy communities, grass roots power and natural balance in the society as reflected in good relationships throughout society. In other words, that POWER to punish is never exercised, or even seen as a last resort.

By taking responsibility for what we allow in our communities, we ensure the safety of each other, and we can then safely absolve the power users of all but the crimes they have committed and the adult responsibility for facing their own dysfunction. And dealing with it. Or not.
