Gavin Williamson's emotional manipulation, his grooming tactics in public view.

"The grooming (gaslighting) of human vulnerability is one of most vile things any human being can do to another."

Freedom of Speech, abused.

Gavin Williamson's speech on Saturday 16 May, his Corona Virus Education briefing from 10 Downing Street, was an abuse of the rights of Freedom of Speech. It was a deeply manipulative speech. I want to put it into context in this blog piece.

Let me first lay out a necessary qualification about Freedom of Speech in the Public Domain.

Free Speech

Free Speech is a Responsibility - it is neither an absolute Right or a Privilege.

The Responsibility is to speak honestly, to be evidence based, to be as good a listener as a speaker and to acknowledge what is verified, reliable and true as such, and to also acknowledge beliefs as made up, as guess-work at the very best.

Freedom of Speech is not a right to promote beliefs over evidence in matters concerning the shared commons.

Freedom of Speech is not a right to groom, manipulate or exploit others through use of language and various logical fallacies...

Freedom of Speech abused.

The Freedom Movement protesters in Hyde Park and elsewhere were a 'welcome' media distraction from Gavin Williamson's 'briefing' against teachers, parents, children and health and safety common sense. Their case was a mistaken interpretation of the meaning of Freedom of Speech and both they and the Secretary for Education denied the social responsibility inherent in the right to free speech. The distraction was welcome from the point of view of the Government. A minor incident elevated to a mass media 'news' story.

A few 5G obsessed anti-vaxxers, freedom campaigners and assorted conTheory spreaders gathered in Hyde Park, near speakers corner, an historical location for Free Speech in Public, to spout nonsense in  public, and to bully , manipulate and groom others to their beleif system and at the same time they chose to deliberately breach social distancing guidelines and regulations whichare necessary to stop the spread of the virus.

The Freedom Movement UK protesters were speaking futile nonsense to power. And asking to be arrested, as a piece of political street theatre. They were in fact fufilling Johnsons policy objective - more spread towards mythical Herd Immunity.

A few of the 200 or so 'activists' were arrested for potentially spreading an infectious disease, after receiving two verbal warnings to disperse under the Corona Virus regulations. The police action was rough, because the protesters resisted and that made for great video evidence of 'state suppression'.

The protesters will claim that their rights to Free Speech were being trampled upon. They were not arrested for anything they said. No surpirse there - reality is hardly their logical foundation.

They are as narcissistic as those they claim to oppose. Fodder for the narrative that the lock down is an injustice.

Lock down injustice.

Which it is, yet not in the way these protesters claim. Reality is much more detailed than their futile and ill-informed caricature allows.

The injustice inherent in lock down as it is being played out in the UK is that it is not being deployed to stop the spread of infection, to lead towards eradicating the viral spread within the UK population in order to protect the significant population of vulnerable people. It is being deployed to guarantee a slow spread of the infection, which does not protect the vulnerable.

That is utterly repugnant, and it is a political and economic choice of policy that undermines the health and safety of at the 11.5 million UK citizens with chronic disease conditions, and in particular the elderly in care homes and those with multiple conditions.

Education and Work.

Teachers Unions have been speaking truth to power since March, and continuing through April, on into May  and  continuing this week, by asking direct and pertinent questions about health and safety of returning to school in the midst of an uncontrolled epidemic.

Whilst the lock down has slowed the community transmission rate in London, elsewhere it is rising.

The infection spread is still out of control.

Under control means we know where the virus has been, we know where it is and we have suppressed transmission to the degree that there have been no new cases of infection for at least two days or more. None of these are in place as I write. The spread of infection is uncontrolled.

The teachers unions are asking the Government to present their scientific and public health evidence that proves that it is safe to return children to school by asking clearly worded questions, presenting the scientific evidence their questions are based on. The Government is failing to respond in kind.

The teachers concerns are laid out in the 5 tests they set for safe re-opening of schools.

They have also issued a substantial document laying out the detail of their questions, a document which is also a useful learning guide for anyone interested in the matter, as it poses the questions, outlines the back ground of their concerns, presents the scientific evidence and study papers that their concerns are based on.

The Government has not responded in kind.

The British Medical Association has come out in full support of the teachers unions. Their concerns are justified, they are medically rational, a phrase Boris Johnson might be familiar with in the negation of that same term, from his speech on February 3rd in Greenwich.

Instead the Government and their advisors are spinning the numbers, they are painting a false picture of the risk of infection emerging within schools. The details are laid out on this blog, Corona Maths.

"Dr Jenny Harries went even further in order to justify the opening of schools on 1st June by saying “There’s a lot of anxiety I think around this but people need to think through – in an average infant school with 100 children the likelihood of anybody having this disease is very small and diminishing with time.”
Let’s be clear about this.
That statement is absolutely 100% untrue statistically.
The likelihood is not small and there is no evidence that that likelihood will diminish with time.  So let’s explore what the implications for schools really are.

The Implications for Schools

She is an epidemiologist who should have a grasp of statistics so I can only assume that she is toeing a political line and that what she has said is deliberate rather than accidental."

The risk in returning children to school is still very, very high.  The spread of infection, the  incidence of community transmission is not under control, not by any standard measurement, and  teachers are being bullied, workers are being bullied whilst many businesses are being stressed by lack of adequate economic support, bad policy decisions an d we are all subjected to misleading public narratives.

Emotional Blackmail and Gaslighting.

The Teachers Unions and the BMA were publicly gas-lighted by Education Secretary Gavin Williamson, in his briefing from 10 Downing Street, Saturday 16th May.

Williamson attempted to groom the general public, the students and the parents into enrolling in an attack on the teachers.

Here is the video of Gavin Williamson's odious speech.

He carried out a classic grooming exercise in full public view.

He intruded into circle of trust, he primed his audience, he then used emotional blackmail to bind them in to his agenda, and then launched a series of snide attacks where he deployed emotional triggers,  laid guilt trips aimed at teachers unions and the BMA, to undermine in the public view their evidence based concerns about health and safety of the teachers, the children, their parents and elder relatives. Machiavellian to the core.

Like he really cares about vulnerable children, or vulnerable adults, having voted for policies that are proven to have caused harm to vulnerable during the past few years, even when evidence was presented of those harms.

"School is the safest place for children from unhappy homes."  Emotional black mail.

"School re-opening is based on best scientific advice." Twaddle. They are unwilling to present that evidence. It does not exist.

Evil is as evil does.

Here is the transcript of that speech.

https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/education-secretarys-statement-on-coronavirus-covid-19-16-may

On getting children into school as soon as possible.

Here I will examine some of his statements, and indicate the tactics.

"This is particularly important for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people. There are some who would like to delay the wider opening of schools."

*( speaking to the wider electorate, entering into the circle of trust, blatantly lying to do so - schools are already open for vulnerable children - here, and here . and *here *even though many are not turning up where provision has been made for them, presumably because their parents are concerned with the risks of transmission of infection which might be brought back into family homes where vulnerable unwell or elderly adults share homes, a reasonable concern..)

"But there is a consequence to this."

*(Guilt tripping the teachers, frightening the parents, gaslighting the wider public to think teachers are putting selfish concerns ahead of children's well being)

"The longer that schools are closed, the more children miss out. Teachers know this. Teachers know that there are children out there who have not spoken to or played with another child of their own age for the last two months."

*(guilt tripping the teachers in front of workers, talking about the teachers in the third person to the workers)

"They know there are children from difficult or very unhappy homes for whom school is their happiest place in their week. It’s also the safest place for them to be and it’s thanks to their teachers and the support that their teachers give to them that they are safe and happy."

*(those who are keeping these children out of school by blocking a return are harming these children, - emotional black mail)

The poorest children, the most disadvantaged children, the children who do not always have support they need at home, will be the ones who will fall furthest behind if we keep school gates closed.

*(guilt tripping the teachers in front of the public)

"They are the ones who will miss out on the opportunities and chances in life that we want all children to benefit from what teachers and schools deliver for them."

* (the claim is false, and he implies it is the fault of teachers if these children are failed )

So we’re asking some children to come back from the 1 June. And we are asking schools to adopt a number of strict protective measures.

*( he is asking for children of workers to return  - and he knows the Government have not answered the Teachers Unions evidence based questions on Health and Safety, and that those questions will not be answered in his briefing).

Context.

So to place this into the fullest context,  we must take on board the meaning of the UK Policy of slow spread of the infection, and what it really means, and what motives might lie behind it.

The speech by Johnson last week (May 10th) was about getting workers back to work.

Protect the economy! Be alert! Get back to work!

He used deliberate, tactically vague instructions to set workers up for a fall, either way - if they are too cautious, they will be blamed for hurting the economy, and their employers will have a leverage to dismiss them, or refuse to support them.  If they take too much risk, they will be blamed for the adverse outcomes.

In order to really push that back to work agenda, more school children must be 'encouraged' to return to school so that parents are free to go to work. If they did not push for this, then at least half of parents would stay home because we know that many families both parents go to work.

There are 4.526,000 families with both parents at work.

That is a substantial number of workers, just over 9 million.

At present furlough is covering  6.3 million workers.

Even if the Government can get half of the parents back to work, they are looking at saving billions every month,  and at the same time they are increasing the potential for more slow spread of the infection, all at the same time.

Why is slow spread so important to this British Government?

What does slow spread really mean and what benefits does it accrue, and to whom?

Why does the UK Government reject the stop the spread, eradicate the virus within the population approach?

It would be utterly foolish to ignore these questions.

Especially when the Education Secretary is prepared to publicly behave in such a profoundly manipulative manner.

I am not personally frightened, as much as I am concerned. I have been very ill, for three weeks in March with lingering sense of infection into mid April. I feel much better now. Nowhere as well as I did before March.

I have gone beyond fear now, I am mostly furious and I also understand anyone who is vulnerable being fearful, not so much of the bug as of the Government and it's reckless behaviour.
,
The media are portraying our concern as fear, as timidity, as way to gaslight us, to bully us into submission.

It's really ugly to look at and see.

What is going on here?

Bullying Behaviour - the core dynamic, obvious, yet carefullu avoided. Why?

Mother's bleached out of History is a form of institutional bullying.

The Official History does not give voice to the mothers of wars, for mothers rarely go to war, war comes to them.

From my view, I see the parade of war lords, kings, presidents, emperors, queens, prime ministers, dictators that stretches back such a short span of  our human existence, a span where wisdom has fled, and the bully proceeds. The competing powers dynamic is a pathology.

Mothers.

pregnant mothers.

your mother.

my mother,

our mothers.

-

For me it has been a gently creative summer, this warm, balmy 2017,  and I am now leaning into a leisurely and hopefully creative autumn.

I have been sitting with the plants and bugs, I have been musing and ruminating, mulling over things, whilst ensuring I took time to fritter away being idle, indolent and chilling the way out..... for me, life is to be savoured, not for it's peaks, but for it's intense essence, it's mere presence. Being alive and sensitive is amazing!

Which is really at the core of why I detest bullying, or coercion, or manipulation, or any attempt to 'nudge' one person in anyway in order to gain an advantage, or have ones perceived need met, whatever that might be.

Bullying intrudes upon and disrupts that space of presence. Peace is more than the absence of bullies...

It's ugly behaviour, really.  We know it stems from insecurity, from a wounded place.

I prefer transparency, honesty, integrity. It's strong, until it is broken.

I look around at this culture, it's icons, it's goals, it's actions and outcomes and I understand that bullying is normalised, institutionalised, mythologised, theologised, dramatised, fetishised, attributed to Divinity and demonised as the most foul, in equal measure, across this existing Militarised Industrial Civilisation.

Bullying.

It's like varieties of mint.

Racism, Misogyny, Sectarianism, Colonialism, Sexism, whatever......... same plant, different flavours, the flavours are not the problem.

Babies are not born bullies. This we know.

Some babies may be born with damaged or weakened systems, and if not spotted, these can become pathologies, through a variety of vectors. A lack of empathy, or inability to self regulate may lead to overt control rather than attempts to heal that area, deepening the behavioural dynamic. But more than that the evironment and social experience of the child will determine much of that child's development, and each child will carry elements of the epi-genetics of the past recent generations as well...

"There are things in a child's life that should happen, and do not. And there are things in a child's life that should not happen, and do."

The child's agency in this is limited.

The task then falls to the adults to correct the balance.

As many have observed, a loved child is more likely to become a loving adult, than a child which has been abused, neglected.

I think children are being bullied quite a lot, in institutional settings, and in the public domain, and I think it's so common, that no one can see it.

And I think it is one of the many dots to be joined regarding how healthy behaviour is distorted. How do we relate to and treat children? How those with power relate to and treat those who hold little power?

A song about bullying and honesty.

A parody of Abba's pop song 'Money, Money, Money'

A reflection on our times, a gander at the cost of bullying in politics, and in how bullied politics afflicts peoples lives, in the knowledge that all of it is wholly avoidable. And how the best approach is honesty. Clarity.

Break it down : as soon as a person speaks and promotes their bias, prejudice, animosity etc in a manner that is in any way intimidating, or denigrating, or that seeks to base legislative powers on the false assumptions of their prejudice,  or that demands change be forced through based on those false assumptions.... that then is bullying.

Political bullying is a fully professionalised enterprise, effectively a world of well funded, well resourced war-gaming.

That's all bullying. IT HAS NO PLACE IN CIVIL GOVERNANCE. Ever.

We talk about racism, sexism, genderism, etc with regards to the reasons for each petty prejudice.... yet we rarely talk about bullying, we talk about trying to alter the reasoning, yet bullying is so normal that the bullying continues...

Let's be honest and call it out.

Here's a fine article on how bullying operates in politics - the tactics and technicals.

Well worth a read.

The writer connects the dots between bullying dynamics observed in inter personal situations and tactical political behaviour, and it makes much sense of a confusing world, in that it describes an arena of happenstance as much as one of seeking control, that there is a chaos element to the bullying. Bullying is inherent unstable.

"Here are some recognisable bullying traits and tactics, designed to damage, isolate, discredit and eliminate the target:

  • bullies are adept at exploiting the trust and needs of individuals, organisations and groups, for personal gain.
  • bullies react to criticism with denial, retaliationfeigned victimhood.
  • the bully grooms bystanders, and the target, to believe the target deserves the treatment they are receiving and attempts to limit contact between others and their target. Often the bully will use communications that exclude the target so that there is no opportunity for them to defend themselves and present their truth.
  • the bystanders see only the Dr Jekyll side of the bully, but only the target sees the Mr/Ms Hyde side; Dr Jekyll is sweet, manipulative and charming, Mr/Ms Hyde is evil; Mr/Ms Hyde is the real person, Dr Jekyll is an act.
  • bullies exert power and control by a combination of selectively withholding information and spreading lies and disinformation, therefore everyone has a distorted picture – of only what the bully wants them to see. "

https://kittysjones.wordpress.com/2015/01/22/how-bullying-works-projection-and-scapegoating/

Babies are not bullies - the behaviour is learned...... prevention is the only sustainable  approach.

A Societal Psyche

Vladimir Putin, the Baby boy, was not born to become the Leader of a Nation.

Donald Trump, the Baby boy, was not born to become a bully, and a Leader of a Nation.

Martin Luther King, the Baby boy, was not born to become a political Leader, to be assasinated.

Neil Armstrong, the Baby Boy, was not born to walk on the moon.

Saddam Hussein, Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, Mao Tse Tung, Pol Pot, General Custer, Cromwell, the babies, were not born to become military leaders who personally ordered the murder of hundreds of thousands of people, all largely innocent..

They were, and are all products of the societal psyche of 'Power', 'Hierarchy', 'Authority' and 'Security'.

These are the terms used which deferentially aggrandise the basic act of bullying, which is what lies at the core of each and every one of them.

The Bully System.

Hierarchy.

The powerful influence of the bully system does not excuse their crimes. It's more a question of understanding the development of that kind of predatory psyche, in order to deal with it.

Just as the populations of soldiers, willing or conscripted, are products of the societal psyche of power, which is a wholy cultural over lay and has no basis in healthy biology.

Healthy human biology is largely mandated towards egalitarian localism.

That power based predatory psyche acts as an inducer of chronic stress, and it affects our own physiology, or very biology, adversely. The stress to maintain military outposts takes resources away from what ever community is paying for it, in many different ways, where local need is not being met..... it's crazy.

Chronic stress is a MAJOR disease and degenerative vector. Yet the masters of the economy impose more and more stress on ordinary people.

Civilisation or Bulliliesation?

We cannot continue to vote for bullies, and expect material change....

"Do what you love, it's Your Gift to Universe"

Thank you for reading this blog. All we need to do is be really honest, responsive to the evidence we find, and ready to reassess when new evidence emerges. The rest is easy.

Brexit : Triggering as a tactic of film makers, bullies and political power establishments.

Brexit : Triggering as a tactic of film makers, bullies and political power establishments.

In simple terms what I am exploring here is the media campaign tactic system that is a bit like a shit stirrer in an office whispering into different peoples ears that 'that person thinks you're a bit of a shit' in order to start an argument, to escalate a fight, for either pleasure or profit.

Either way, it’s all about power. The power to trigger others without their understanding it, or the use of the tactic to exercise and leverage power.

The Power Establishment are experts at that and we have to become expert at spotting it and deconstructing it and not getting caught up in it.

That also means we need to get to know ourselves a little better.

1. We must understand that the intent behind the xenophobic materials published by UKIP management, and the Murdoch press and other right wing media was twofold :

a) To give the impression that there are a lot more racists around than there actually are, and that they have a greater power than they really do. To inflate.

b) It was also designed to mask the expected protest vote which had nothing to do with these traits. They needed to garner that vote and at the same time neutralise it's meaning.

The protest vote was a rejection of all Governments of the past 40 years or so, a rejection by working class low income folk whose voice Westminster and the intelligentsia sneers at - poverty porn was no accident and it was always propaganda, rather than documentary.

The media deliberately portrayed that protest  to look like a significant percentage of Leavers were 'racists and xenophobes' whereas they were simply saying 'No!' to what they perceived as the Establishment's self assurance - and of course, the 'progressives' who still consume Mefia News fell for this ruse, and now the grass roots are calling each other names based on a media set-up and it is getting personal, which raises the intensity.

Lateral Violence...

2. We must listen to each other, we must listen to real people's real concerns, and try to understand what difficulties they are faced with, try to see how they feel for their children's futures.

We must connect to that, we must ignore the set-up, see past the bipolarity and adversarial dynamics and acknowledge the abuse of Government that afflicts us all, and be aware of the lack of their voice in political mainstream discourse. If people who are being bullied feel heard, then they too can listen. Then we can begin to deconstruct the opinion from the evidence. As a sharing, a learning, a building of solidarity.

3. We must understand fame and celebrity. Media can report 20 incidents and make it look like a massive surge. That is part of the tactical approach of media serving power. The violence of a few nasty street thugs, who are a tiny minority in this country can be made to look much greater than it is. The media are doing this, on all 'sides' to inflame the situation. This divides us further.

How Bullying works….

“Bullying is a form of scapegoating and projection." We know that scapegoating is a hostile socio-psychological discrediting operation in which people move blame and responsibility away from themselves and towards a target person or group.

It is also a practice were angry feelings and inappropriate accusation are placed on others. Quite understandably, the target feels persecuted and receives misplaced vilification, blame and criticism; and the victim is likely to suffer rejection from those who the perpetrator seeks to influence and again, an increasing feeling of isolation.

We live in a society where bullying has become increasingly acceptable, and certainly, as form of doing politics.”

I suggest you follow the link and read this very accurate and informative blog on How Bullying Works in Politics, written by Kitty Jones. It covers the tactics of the bully in quick and accessible detail, and yet lays out the complexity of this subject.

Bearing in mind that in British Schools, 45% of children report being bullied and no Government program has been successful at reducing that number. Which does not surprise me as coercive education is institutional bullying.

Please examine your reactions and emotions, and try to see where you have been triggered, and please stop calling all ‘leavers’ xenophobes and all ’remainers’ selfish middle class landlord traitors!

We can see patterns across society, yet it is really inaccurate to apply those patterns to every individual, and you have to talk to individuals, in some depth, to see where they are coming from. Do not let the media project nasty shit onto millions of people you do not know.

Manipulation by emotional theatre.

The recent videos of Ian Duncan Smith and Anna Eagle crying are theatre.

These are supposedly mature adults, both of whom have supported policies of extreme cruelty (ATOS and Iraq) based on false assumptions and wildly off beam justifications, with horrific outcomes for real people, which they both ignore and dismiss as irrelevant, and who are entrusted with the duty of care inherent in administering the utilisation of our shared contributions, the taxes we all pay into the Excehquer.

Outcomes indicate intention, especially if the pattern of action and outcome is repeated.

The poverty in Britain is a direct result of Government Policies, whoever has been in Government, whoever has been in opposition.

They want poverty to happen. They want war to happen. Only it doesn’t ‘happen’.

The presence and persistence of poverty is induced.

Man made. Power made. Power mad.

They used my taxes to cause all this harm.

They used your taxes to cause all this harm.

They used our taxes to cause all this harm, and more.

So much more.

Millions of British children living in relative poverty.

Millions of parents living in poverty.

Food banks, investment banks. Both growing.

Buy-to-let promoted by Government, driving rents up, driving low income families and individuals, entire communities out.

There's something deeply, profoundly wrong with that.

And those tears. Really?

They just don’t care. They

The Brexit vote was an expression of that knowledge. They just don’t care.

They will try to manipulate us any way they can think of.

They do not care about the low income folk, in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Palestine, Africa, South East Asia, America.

Working class people, all of us. We will never be landlords. We don’t want to be landlords.

They are institutionalised bullies.

"Having narrowly won the general election, the Tories are now trying to rig the system to keep themselves in power, and weaken opposition both inside and outside parliament.

Late last year they drove through a new voter registration scheme that will slash the number of young and inner-city voters. And later this Parliament they will cut the number of parliamentary seats. The Conservatives are gerrymandering the electoral system to benefit themselves.

By directly attacking Labour’s funding through their trade union bill and by cutting public Short money support for opposition parties’ research, they are deliberately setting out to constrain democratic accountability.

Add to that their “gagging law”, which prevents charities, unions and thinktanks from taking part in political debate near election time.

Their threats to use the BBC’s charter renewal to hack away at its independence;
Their packing of the House of Lords with Tory peers; their moves to restrict the powers of local councils, it all adds up to a serious attack on democratic rights and freedoms
.
Theirs is the party funded by hedge funds backed by a press owned by multi-millionaire or even billionaire tax avoiders.

Their concept of fairness is of a very different order to ours. Fairness for only a few is not fairness, but privilege."

So says Jeremy Corbyn, so says the evidence. They do not care.

All this for power, as an end in and of itself.

The Power Establishment.

They are all deeply, profoundly opposed to any threat to their dominance of the British people and economy. It’s personal for them.
Corbyn is not. Quite the opposite.

Their concerns are with Power over the people; not with the people.

Corbyn and those who genuinely support him are not willing to accept that Government is power over the people. We pay their wages.

The moves against Jeremy Corbyn and the movement which he is re-presenting are all about Power, and those who oppose him seek power as an end in and of itself, through which they project their one prejudices. We pay the price.

Gaslighting is another tactic of the bully system. It is designed to undermine the targets sense of self, and leave the target open to suggestion or to alter the targets perception to suit the bully. It can be difficult to identify.

They are very good at gaslighting.

Just so you know.

NeoLiberalism.

It is the ideology and the lack of natural empathy towards those they rule over, thopse they feel threatened by. That latter  dynamic created the ideology.

We need to diagnose correctly the situation.

Our situation.

Fast!
