POPE : an Acrynom!

What more needs to be said?

Other than to remind folk that this is NOT merely about the Pope, or even The Vatican; this is about a Societal Psychology that mediates abuse as a norm, and whether or not we, as good people, can face up to the facts, and do the work that our children deserve be done to ensure that such abuse patterns are examined and the intergenerational cycles of Power and Abuse are finally ended.

It is their future we are talking about here..

Christ, Empathy and Society

The Christ, from what few references we have, appeared to be a deeply empathic person. Those qualities are not his alone, but the qualities of a naturally empathic human being, the kind that lived for many hundreds of thousands of years, if not millions of years in a sustainable and relatively stable condition.

Whilst Christ can be suggested as a role model in this, (though it must be said that to do this would necessitate the omission of, or critical analysis of, the entire old testament, which is essentially a document on Monolithic Power and how to manage Power Relationships to retain Power, violently and otherwise, and contains a specified torture manual to boot! ...and most of the new testament, apart from those few stories concerning the Christ's actions, being as actions speak louder than words - think of the trees saved by this one simple shift in paradigm!)  he can not be held as the SOURCE of Empathy.

It is absolutely clear, to both Science and Mothers, that appropriate child-mother bonding and environmental conditions (such as being part of a day to day community, with full access to nature as a place of exploration and learning, optimum nutrition, intimacy, trust, respect and so on) are ESSENTIAL for the development of the empathetic neurology and natural sensitivity of the new born.

Any deprivation of any of these essentials leads directly to stressed physiology, an altered neurology and a consequent psychological dysfunction as an emergent quality of any given society, and when codified, becomes Institutionalised as we see throughout the Dominant Culture.

Thus, with regards our biologically determined empathy, when the appropriate nurturant environment in place, there is no need for an historical role model, or an external role model, for the parents and community will assuredly provide that confirmation of the internal, intrinsic empathy emerging from within the child, naturally.

This is extremely important.

For example, the lack of empathy inherent in The Missionary Position; to look upon another human being as being inferior to the point of being sub-human and to offer to ‘convert’ that person with the caveat that if conversion is not possible, then extermination is inevitable and justified by Biblical Dictat is so utterly devoid of empathy that it’s a feat of deep, almost supernatural denial that stretches the concept of Charity completely out of shape, and creates a monstrosity steeped in blood and misery.

The lack of empathy inherent in the religious induction of infants into a faith and binding those children to a psychological and spiritual contract they cannot possibly consent to, with the caveat that the child is already a sinner, already condemned, and that this is communicated at the earliest possible moment, consistently re-enforced by what are, in effect and intent, behaviour modification techniques of a Pavlovian Skinnerist perspective. Though it has to be said that the practices of Pavlov and Skinner were long extent by the time those two fools existed. Indeed they are prime examples of the lack of empathy in action.

The lack of empathy inherent in Dominance and Empire; the Dominance of the Christian/Judeo/Muslim Human Being over the Earth and all that dwell within her; the Empire of God open only to those who qualify, Eternal Torture for those who fail.

The lack of empathy that blames the poor for being poor by categorising them as being in Gods disfavour, and them treating them as a charity case, and doing NOTHING to alter the fundamental inequities of the distribution of the materials that nurture life of which Poverty is a symptom.

The lack of empathy inherent in the Vatican’s response to the unveiling of massive abuse of children in Institutions operated by Clergy, often on behalf of the State, dating back centuries and ongoing even as I
write.

The lack of empathy demonstrated by so many adherents of Faith, that amounts to a declaration of war against all who do not share that Faith. The so-called battle or struggle between Good and Evil.

Let it be said here too, that a lack of empathy is not merely an issue for religion, but for our entire Society.

It permeates Economics, Psychiatry, Commerce, Education, Health Care, Food production and much else besides.

I submit, for your perusal, a useful document that outlines the characteristics that emerge in variant societies, where nurturing is either present or absent.

Take a good look at these characteristics and again at the Society you were born into, that you had to adapt to.....

Towers, a song and a meaning.

Here's my 9/11 song "TOWERS"

written on 13.9.2001, performed the following week, with studio bits added later that winter.

Here's the lyric :

TOWERS

The twin towers of polarity have fallen, You know what I mean
The bubble burst, those people were frightened
Saw it all, a nightmare on TV
And who knows the whole story
Who's got all the facts
until we're all communicating
It won't be easy yet it's better than more attacks

The fight between the good and the badIt is ugly -
you know what I mean
That struggle's clearly not working
We must speak freely to be free
And who knows the whole story
Who's got all the facts
until we're all communicating
It won't be easy yet it's better than more attacks

Eyeless in Gaza, blindly we are fighting
You know what I mean,
Behaviour is unaware of it's roots
Though now, it's time to come clean
Be not frightened of the truth
And who knows the whole story
Who's got all the facts until we're all communicating
It won't be easy yet it's better than more attacks

The twin towers of polarity have fallen
You know what I mean
We must work now, towards a future world
Where a live in love has real meaning
And who knows the whole story
Who's got all the facts until we're all communicating
It won't be easy yet it's better than more attacks

And here's a document that shows a clear connection between the emergence of violence and hierarchy in Gatherer Hunter Communities, which is related to how children are treated.

The very same dynamics apply to our own culture...

WE HAVE TO GET TO THE PSYCHOLOGICAL CORE OF WHAT CREATES SUCH A LACK OF EMPATHY. NOT ONLY IN POWER LEADERSHIPS, BUT ALSO ACROSS SOCIETY....

We owe it to all the children to come to do this work and to get it accurate!

Ideology and Religion have failed children throughout Western History.

This must end.

WE must end it.

We can.

It's so not rocket science....

Download it, print it out and share it. Explore the learnings within it. Spread the message.

Blair, the Media, Intellectuals, Complicity and Cowardice.

William Rees Mogg, in The Times, February 1st, 2010 writes in his first paragraph of an article headed :  - Blair the dictator bulldozed us into war -

" It may never lead to his being tried in any court, but there is nevertheless a public verdict of his responsibility for the British action in Iraq." ...

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/william_rees_mogg/article7010321.ece

Why might it never lead to a trial? What right does he have to make such an assertion and then pour his feeble outrage onto paper for the public domain, and at the same time imply that 'International Law needs to be clarified' - International Law prohibiting War is the clearest Law on the planet. What planet is Rees-mogg on, or more to the point what drugs?

Is not the Law clear? YES.

Has not the crime been reported to British Police? YES

Is there an investigation under way(ish) at The London Metropolitan Police War Crimes Unit? YES

Is this a secret or covert operation, requiring special police investigation? NO!

So, why is Rees Mogg not saying all of this and not asking the following questions :

WHY IS THAT INVESTIGATION STALLED?

WHO IS STALLING IT?

AND WHAT ARE THE FULL CHARGES, and the LIST OF ALL THOSE LEGALLY LIABLE FOR THESE WAR CRIMES?

Is it possible he is unaware of all this?  Hardly.

Very slightly since those involved

have written to EVERY MP, to every News Media outlet, have hosted meetings in both Houses of Parliament, posted videos to youtube, have facebook, myspace, twitter and other online resources, which have been  active for quite some time (the first attempt at reporting war crimes was in 2001, for Afghnaistan!) and have an online international campaign informing people of the Law, and asking that the Law be obeyed, calling their campaign a CIVIL OBEDIENCE campaign. Hardly the shrinking violets of the activist movement, yet totally ignored by mainstream mdeia, an absolutely focussed and active ignorance. Caught in the act of ignoring.

While certain forces may have bulldozed towards war, as Rees Mogg writes, certain others (public intellectuals, media pundits etc ) refused to face the facts at the time : That  War as a Tool of Policy Enforcement is wrong, amoral AND illegal.... and they parroted the lines that Policy dictated. Terrorists. WMD. Nasty Dictators (who used weapons systems our State sold him on his own people, who waged a war with Iran on our States behalf). Half truths are often worse than outright lies.

http://www.medialens,org  a British website that had been challenging the way in which media reports wars with such deep bias as to actively support those wars, is replete with such examples, carefully de-constructed, almost to tedium, based on irrefutable evidence, by the medialens crew;  and vehemently defended by said intellectuals and pundits. Some of the former is quite entertaining. Most of the latter is utterly reprehensible.

And now, when the veil is lifted by Blair himself, when he exposed his crass logic and astute denial before Chilcott's gentle probing, in full public view, (with no option but to go the whole hog), a veil many of us have been able to pierce and had removed, even as he prepared for war, and so now, some of these intellectuals finally find their voice? Give us a break!

STOP THE WAR coalition must have known at the time that the war was utterly illegal. They have access to the best legal minds in the country. Look to the results of their actions. Did they inform or mop up concern? Did they harness the compassion, the horror and anger of the people and use that to act, or did they organise a we will  'do our best' gig, much as Bob Geldof might have, again mopping up concern, knowing that it was futile because it offered no real challenge?

A general strike would have been a good move. A blockade by the 2 million people and their friends who did not turn up for the march, yet who supported the intent of that march in Hyde Park would have been fun. And effective. It was estimated that for every one person on that march at least another 4 agreed with them. Some say 15. That's between 8 and 30 million people. That's a lot of power if marshalled. Polls say more than that opposed the war. Anyways, STWC failed, and failed miserably, in their stated aims.

So back to the future, 2010 : the majority of mainstream media even still parrot the policy line; Blair's testimony last Friday was 'assured', a 'fine performance' according to most press this weekend...

Iran still the de-stabilising force in Iraq ( a lie I have dealt with in detail elsewhere), Tony the 'victim' of circumstance and unfortunate planning...

The disconnect is further highlighted with the recent press coverage of the issue of assisted death in cases of severe debilitating painful fatal disease, where the assistance is requested by individuals whose minds are clear, whose intent is clear, whose assistant is a close and dearly loved one.

The DPP saw fit to go ahead with a prosecution for murder for a woman who helped her daughter, who had lain in bed for nearly 20 years, her body shattered by disease, her life shattered by constant unrelenting pain, who had decided enough is enough and I want to die, and was so weakened she required assistance up to the point she herself pressed the plunger of the syringe containing her final does, her final act in her own life.

Yet stalls with regard to a man and a system that not only   failed to protect a nation of 29 million innocent people, but actively and illegally enabled a war of aggression, that denied the Iraqis grass roots democracy when the Iraqis made so bold as to unite and hold their own elections, that selected it's own chosen men to run Iraqs cities, towns and villages, that actively funded and supplied a police force that actively repressed those who dared to engage their own democracy, that started a war of resistance that was portrayed as 'sectarian', that led to even more slaughter, torture, terror for Iraqis?

These are the facts.

What say you now, Rees Mogg? Defend your pious stance from this perspective. You cannot!

Take a walk to your local police station, and report the crimes of Blair and the UK Government. Do something useful.

Interesting Texts on Child Care that form the basis for the modern State.....

"Obedience is so important to education that all education is nothing other than learning how to obey. It is a generally recognized principle that persons of high estate who are destined to rule whole nations must learn the art of governance by way of first learning obedience. Qui nescit obediere, nescit imperare: the reason for this is that obedience teaches a person to be zealous in observing the law, which is the first quality of a ruler. Thus, after one has driven out willfulness as a result of one’s first labours with children the chief goal of one’s further labours must be obedience. It is not easy, however, to implant obedience in children. It is quite natural for the child’s soul to want to have a will of its own, and things that are not done correctly in the first two years will be difficult to rectify later. One of the advantages of these early years is that force and compulsion can be used. Over the years children forget everything that happened to them in early childhood. If their wills can be broken at this time, they will never remember afterwards that they had a will, and for this very reason the severity that is required will not have any serious consequences."

From : 'An Essay on the Education and Instruction of Children' J. Sulzer 1748

"It is my view that one should never strike a child for offences they commit out of weakness. The only vice deserving of blows is obstinacy. It is wrong therefore to strike children at their lessons, it is wrong to strike them for falling down, it is wrong to strike them for wreaking harm unwittingly, it is wrong to strike them for crying; but it is right and proper to strike them for all of these transgressions and for even more trivial ones if they have committed them out of wickedness. If you son does not want to learn because it is your will, if he cries with the intent of defying you, if he does harm in order to offend you, in short, if he insists in having his own way :

The whip him, well till he cries so
oh no Papa, oh no!

Such disobedience amounts to a declaration of war against you. Your son is trying to usurp your authority, and you are justified in answering force with force in order to insure his respect, without which you will be unable to train him. The blows you administer should not be merely playful ones but should convince him that you are his master. Therefore you must not desist until he does what he previously refused out of wickedness to do."

From : 'Some Thoughts on the Education of Children' : J. Kruger 1752

These are but a few examples of the texts from the 1700s that formed the basis for Compulsory State Education, a project that originated in the Textile Factories of the North of England... as a means of training workers and controlling the masses...

Most Urban workers and managers and all the Elites treated their children in this manner, in one way or another, consciously or unconsciously, up to the the present day. Indigenous peoples rarely do, nor do peasants... in general. There are always exceptions, on both sides.

What is terrifying, to me at least, is the understanding or psychological insight that is illustrated in these tomes. THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING. 300 years ago! There are older texts, dating back to Roman and Spartan timers. And they too knew exactly what they were doing.

Driving out willfulness, instilling blind obedience, all through force and compulsion rationalised on the basis that they assumed ALL children were prone to 'wickedness' (a mime of Original Sin), as much as they assumed all peasants, all indigenous peoples were too. The Laws of Europe show this clearly. The Art of colonising harsh lands with petty convicts drawn form the poorest of their societies is part of the same world view.

This world view exists today, though it was only in 1998 that the UK Government banned corporal punishment in all schools. Following on from that testing and exams took a more and more important role in 'conditioning' children, justified as ever by spurious claims about needing to have some kind of way of ensuring that educational targets were being met, with various sanctions for those who fail.... being held back, insulted, humiliated, labelled with 'learning difficulty', the threat of a life of menial work etc etc as much as rewards for those who 'succeed' stars, marks, approval and 'good jobs'..... the psychological abuse taking over from the physical abuse. All of this carefully meditated. And guaranteed by an overarching enforcing bureaucracy.

Teachers are given huge amounts of paper-work to do to fill their time, are dependent upon ensuring children do go through the process for their very jobs and income, and are reduced to policing children through these exams .... simply because they have not and are not given the time to spend with the children that is required for healthy learning and exploration... and the same can be said for most parents today in our cities and towns, with both parents working, spending more of their energy on paying off mortgages than on easy time with their children.

This world view is one that Blair, Brown, Obama and Bush demonstrate in their warmongering. The Policing at G20 is more of the same. The media repeats the message most of the time.

The question raised by all this is not how come so many succumb, but how come so many even today fail to see the damage, how come so many simply accept all this, in the 21st Century ... even some of those who have awakened to their own experiences can rationalise these kinds of behaviours.

And it is the case that these world views are resilient, are internalised by those who survive, and by those who escape, (unconsciously for most - we forget those early years..) and thus they form a large part of our cultures rules and regulations (though enforced mostly against the poorer sections of our society... with the rulers getting away with murder ... De Menzes murder in Stockwell Tube Station is a case in point..Iraq? Afghanistan? Pakistan? Columbia? Bolivia?. there are many, many more examples closer to home...- nearly 30 people every year die in Police Custody, yet no police man has EVER been brought to justice for these deaths!)

Every leader over the age of 40 who has been through these kinds of damaging experiences, and is unaware of how deep the damage is, will of course inflict the same on those they 'rule', will obey the Bureaucracy and most are easily corrupted, for the weakness is inherent in someone whose will has been broken.

This is not to let them, or anyone off the hook. This is to say LOOK at these realities. UNDERSTAND what we are dealing with in Politics.

Homeschooling is under severe attack in this country as I write, and all of the above is the real WHY of that attack. The state requires that ALL CHILDREN'S minds be colonised and controlled. To the extent that we as adults seek to 'train' or 'control' our children is the extent to which we have internalised those values. To the extent that we can rationalise violence and coercion is the extent to which we have succumbed to the conditioning.

And only it is we. it is only ourselves that can undo this. That is the deepest ecological act any humane being can do - to reclaim what was lost in the past, to reclaim our true and honest identity and to learn again to think and feel for ourselves and to allow, and to also to encourage that original sensing for the next generation of children.

"Why we must all do God" : Tony Blair imparts wisdom.... ahem! cough! cough!

The wisdom of Tony Blair has just been published by The New Statesman in an article entitled....

"Why we must all do God".....

My good friends Pulsemedia flagged it up here

"Religion has never mattered more to the world than it does now, says the former prime minister, launching our new occasional column on faith"

Blair rambles on about 'faith' and 'poverty' and his foundation and all the good work he is doing and ends on this warning note :

"The 21st century will be poorer in spirit and ambition, less focused on social justice, less sensitive to conscience and the common good, without a full and proper recognition of the role that the great faiths can and do play. I hope my foundation, in its own way, can work with others in those faiths to help harness their full power to transform our world for the better."

Less sensitive to conscience? This from Blair? The mind boggles at how a) he could utter such tripe, and expect anyone to take it at face value and b) how The New Statesman could publish it...... pour another glass of hubris champagne please....

I left a comment which is pretty much as follows : Italics are edits made for this blog....

The fundamental that all religions are based upon is the imposition of their world view upon defenceless children. That is an abuse. To tell a child WHAT to think undermines that child's own innate ability to think for themselves.

Why is there no organised religion that opts out of such a process, that waits until a child decides out of their own heart to follow a spiritual path? Because natural children sense the hypocrisy of adults no matter how the adults attempt to mask it. And natural children will tend to avoid such hypocrisy unless of course they are terrorised into internalising the values of those who terrorise/indoctrinate them, with tales of hell, lists of sins etc which are core to all organised religions.... more or less. In the secular consumer world, children are terrorised by the prospect of poverty if they do not comform - study to get a job or you will be poor... it amounts to the same thing. Being ones true self is dangerous.

He knows that enough people are religious and will buy it. He also knows there's lots of others who also buy the ' I did what I believed to te the best' - they to believe they are doing the best (and ignore the consequences of their behaviour).

To me it's clear that
Blair uses religion as a cover for his criminality

He works for UBS and JP Morgan Chase who are currently buying banks left right and centre at discount. JP Morgan Chase pretty much owns the Iraqi Central Bank. Thus Blairs reward for supporting the invasion and his willingness to see many, many dead and maimed by HIS LIES is a £1 million per annum part time job as an 'advisor'.

Those who chose NOT TO SEE reality and then publish the words of people like Blair, with out any hint of a critical analysis are as guilty as Blair is.

Bet ya the comment doesn't stay long, or even get published...

Elite Virus : Alluenza

Some of my most profound insights have come during the process of bowel evacuation. I have this theory that letting go, relaxing with the flow, opens one to new information, making room for new nourishment. My favourite place for that is the outdoors compost loos at festivals that are smart enough to have them installed... outdoors, airy and free from toxic chemicals!

Here's an insight I had recently..... on my own loo at home (too cold for outdoors!)..

The elite, who as people, on a personal level, gain great psychic satisfaction and ego stimulation from ‘owning’ or ‘possessing’ great wealth, fine goods and land, ‘good wives’ and a lineage of ‘good breeding,’ and see all that as ‘really good’ have, by controlling education, media, religion, advertising, commerce and war, infected ‘ordinary’ people with their psychology. By imposing it. By indoctrination.

They also believe, and it is a belief, a false myth or dysfunctional fairy tale if you will, that they are elite, more intelligent and more beautiful than the majority of other people, because their genes are superior to those of poor, coloured and female human beings……… and that their great wealth etc etc is proof positive that this must be so.

This also explains their willingness to murder, poison and otherwise harm, at whim, all those who hold opposing views or get in the way of a good profit.

What turds they be! lol!

Only it's no laughing matter.

For example, here's an email from 1991, sent by Larry Summers, an economist, and currently a primo candidate for Obamas' Cabinet, as Treasury Secretary, an individual clearly infected with this deathly virus :

A controversial 1991 World Bank memo signed by
Chief Economist Larry Summers reads as follows (excerpts):

THE MEMO
DATE: December 12, 1991
TO: Distribution
FR: Lawrence H. Summers
Subject: GEP
"'Dirty' Industries: Just between you and me, shouldn't the World Bank be encouraging MORE migration of the dirty industries to the LDCs [Less Developed Countries]? I can think of three reasons:
1) The measurements of the costs of health impairing pollution depends on the foregone earnings from increased morbidity and mortality. From this point of view a given amount of health impairing pollution should be done in the country with the lowest cost, which will be the country with the lowest wages. I think the economic logic behind dumping a load of toxic waste in the lowest wage country is impeccable and we should face up to that.
2) The costs of pollution are likely to be non-linear as the initial increments of pollution probably have very low cost. I've always though that under-populated countries in Africa are vastly UNDER-polluted, their air quality is probably vastly inefficiently low compared to Los Angeles or Mexico City. Only the lamentable facts that so much pollution is generated by non-tradable industries (transport, electrical generation) and that the unit transport costs of solid waste are so high prevent world welfare enhancing trade in air pollution and waste.
3) The demand for a clean environment for aesthetic and health reasons is likely to have very high income elasticity. The concern over an agent that causes a one in a million change in the odds of prostrate cancer is obviously going to be much higher in a country where people survive to get prostrate cancer than in a country where under 5 mortality is is 200 per thousand. Also, much of the concern over industrial atmosphere discharge is about visibility impairing particulates. These discharges may have very little direct health impact. Clearly trade in goods that embody aesthetic pollution concerns could be welfare enhancing. While production is mobile the consumption of pretty air is a non-tradable."
"The problem with the arguments against all of these proposals for more pollution in LDCs (intrinsic rights to certain goods, moral reasons, social concerns, lack of adequate markets, etc.) could be turned around and used more or less effectively against every Bank proposal for liberalization."

This is hatred, racism rationalised as economics, pure and simple.

These kinds of people are the most toxic of all. Wealthy, emotionally blind, and psychotically driven.

There is a great need for this dynamic to be understood, by us folk, us ordinary vulnerable folk, and we must come to terms with the the ways in which they manipulate us; we must understand this at both the personal and societal level.

Charidee, guilt and gilts!

I read in the Indy on Sunday, pages 6 and seven this last weekend, that a charity do hosted by the Charity ARK, plates at £10k, plus a Charity Auction, which was hosted by Arpad "Arki!" Bussun (who runs a few City Academies in London in his spare time) raised £10 million more than expected (last year they got £25 Million, this year they were expecting £15 Million)....

Arkis comment was that "we are the keepers of the worlds wealth, it's our responsibility to come together and give to our common humanity!" Indeed!

"Keepers of the worlds wealth" says it all. The Indy warbled about how "Arki" was currently dating (fucking) Umma Thurman and had been dating (fucking) Elle McPherson, and that he counted Maddona and Jemima Khan amongst his friends! Wow! How cool! So glad I know that! - the fawning, supplicant Indy writers name is Jeremy Taylor.

We were also informed that Tony "Bomb Iraq" Blair was the geust after dinner speaker. Apparantly the notoriousy religious war criminal made a 'joke' saying that he was "clearly not the only person to have become richer in the past year" - which, given that he now works part-time for JP Morgan who are as we speak setting up the Iraqi Central Bank, and are thus directly responsible for the privatisation of much of Iraqs resource base, is grossly inconsiderate, not to mention disgustingly smug.

Busson also said, warming to his subject that "I am thrilled by the overwhelming generosity of our geusts, particularly given the more difficult financial and economic environment. These donations will transform the lives of tens of thousands of children in India, South Africa, eastern Europe and the UK."

What a twat! What difficulties do people of his ilk experience in comparison to those at the receiving end of the Friedmanian Free Trade Ideology?

Fact - the policies which made him and his buddies so rich are the same policies that impoverished millions of people world wide, and have led to far too many needless painful deaths. Of mostly children. Hows that for transformation!

Fact - those donations are Tax write offs! So tis the taxpayer who pays in the end.

Convince me that these kinds of people are really serious about helping those they have impoverished, bombed and starved. Please......

Or face the truth - Our Leaders, Commercial, Political and Religious and their acolytes are fundamentally serial greed whores, who will do anything for money or power and use the press and charity to make themselves look good. They believe that their great wealth and protected private lands will insulate them from whatever befalls the rest of us, and they are laughing at us.... not because it's funny, but because they have so many people fooled.

In which case, it's up to us to make the changes, from the local to the national.

Excuse my anger (or not) - it's more outrage than envious resentment.

My irish auntie once dated Jack Lynch (Irish Premier before Charlie "cute hoor" Haughey) and from the way she behaved I learned the following - that there are some born to power who are innately superior to everyone else ............. and that I was not one of them! Though my brother was (he isn't, he's a family guy and wise to all of this!) in her eyes suitable dynastic material. So I do know what I am talking about here, from personal experience.

Simon Howell was also in attendance. Britian's got talent, indeed!
