Back in 2007, Make Wars History ran a grass roots campaign to hold Blair and the Labour Party leadership, the Conservatives and others who enabled the invasion of Iraq, to account, by trying to get MPs on board with launching war crimes investigations.

The Labour Party rejected this appeal, apart from John mcDonnell and a few others...

The Labour voters rejected this approach because they wanted to 'keep the Tories out.'

If we in England had held Blair to account, if we had mobilised to send him to The Hague, which was possible under the International Criminal Court Act of 2001, we would have been the first Western nation to hold our own War Criminals to account and it is very likely that would have prevented the wars that flowed ever since.

Now here we are again.

A Labour Party leadership supporting a genocidal assault upon Palestinians, a Tory Party fully committed to supporting Israel no matter what crimes Israel commits.

An election looming, and nobody standing to hold our war criminals to account.

And every one of us are funding the British States war crimes.

We got some serious thinking and activism to get on with.

As regards Climate Disruption, what chance is there for global co-operation which is required to meet that challenge as long as we refuse to hold our war criminals to account?

Vote for peace makers, remove all war makers from our legislatures, local, nationally and internationally. Vote for peace makers. Vote for Peace Policy. Do not vote for Parties and Loyalty. We can do this, collectively.

We cannot stop the genocidal war against the Palestinian people and we will be forced to watch it's completion in utter impotent horror and fury.

Our pain is as nothing compared to what the Palestinians are enduring. Our pain is as nothing compared to what the Iraqis, Afghanis, Libyans, Syrians are still enduring.

We MUST adopt a long term strategic stance as tax payers to hold our war criminals to account, to cease future engagement in warfare, to build a legislature that commits to peace and justice and there is no single Party that can or will ever do that - not within an adversarial democratic set up of two party states.

Letter to my MP on the failure of UK Parliament to uphold International Humanitarian Law and the interests of Peace.

Following the clearly adversarial approach of Labour and Conservatives this Wednesday last, in the UK Parliament in Westminster, London, an approach that disabled the SNP Opposition Day Motion calling for an 'immediate ceasefire in Gaza', and the 'ending of the collective punishment of the Palestinian people by the Israeli State', a reasonable motion by all standards, and then replaced it with a watered down, conditional motion that sought to avoid a 'rebellion' within the Labour Party back benches, a move that does not serve the interests of Peace, but instead protects the interests of Israeli Military State, and Keir Starmer’s clearly undemocratic leadership of the Labour Party, I write to you to, respectfully, to demand that the Labour Co-operative MPs who are genuinely active in seeking Peace and Justice step away from the Labour Party.

The same Labour Party that has repeatedly refused to hold Tony Blair et al to account for their War crimes, even when we had the evidence before us.

The country re-elected him in 2005. The country failed in it’s basic duty of care.

Since then both Labour and Conservatives have launched or supported a series of amoral Wars in Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen and elsewhere and have ordered Military action beyond our borders, in contravention of the Laws of War.

This means, in real terms, that the Parties and Parliament are de facto War Criminal Entities that remain unindicted.

This failure has led directly to the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, in that Russia used false claims similar to the way Blair et al have done, with the real politick understanding that in practice International Law does not apply to the 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council.

The obvious hypocrisy of the different stances the UK Government has taken in relation to that War and all the other wars mentioned above is now clear, and presents a constant threat to world peace and co-operation.

It is worth noting that in a world that permits and enables warfare, the co-operation required to meet the challenges of Climate Disruption is not possible.

You must understand, as a member of a co-operative, that mutual aid is an essential component of developing healthy policy and that the adversarial dynamics of the current Govt. vs Opposition run counter to the meaning of healthy governance.

With that in mind, I am calling on you to uphold Humanitarian Law and International Law and the Laws prohibiting War.

Jeremy Corbyn in 2015 indicated that he would, if he gained the position of Prime Minister, order that War Crimes Investigations be initiated.

That was the primary (unspoken) reason for the Establishments vicious slanderous attack upon him, and upon the pro-peace policies he supported.

That was driving emotional reaction behind the internal Blairite Campaign within Labour to undermine his leadership.

That Campaign succeeded, because Labour MPs and Members refused to stand up for International Law.

Blair walks free, on a healthy state pension. He is amassing a large fortune as a direct result of all of this.

That failure is unacceptable, intolerable and utterly repugnant.

Please confirm that you will move to uphold International Law, distance yourself and your Party from these abject War criminals and stand with the peaceful people of Earth in your role as a politician, as a community leader and as an official whose wages we pay.

I advise you that my future, your future and all our children’s futures would be better served were you to align with the Green Party and all other genuine progressives and work to hold the war criminals to account, be they British, Russian, Syrian, Ukrainian or Israeli, or any other.

Failure to respond positively to this request will place you in a position that history will deem adverse the the interests of the people, and of peace.

What is Egalitarian Culture? What Do Babies Want? Alloparenting?

The how to maintain a healthy sustainable culture problem is mostly a matter of human to human relationships than it is of a question of technology.

Power Hierarchy culture generates unhealthy behaviour at scale. This is well evidenced and incontrovertible. This is because Power becomes the means to maintain Power.

Those who occupy positions of Power will tend to internalise the positions root values which are power and maintenance of power. 'L'Etate, c'est Moi!' and so on. "I represent the institution, not myself, yet I have internalised the institution." That is a profoundly unhealthy psychological state to be in.

Over time, and with wealth the Ruling Hierarchy culture have extracted the ruling class have worked to institutionalise the population into instruments to promote and maintain those values, do the work, fight in the battles. All the time understanding fully that this is oppressive cruelty, that it generates resistance, naturally enough.

They understand the injustice. And so they live fearful of the majority population, and the maintenance of dominance becomes an endless end in itself, a way of life.

That is a behavioural and cultural problem.

We have brilliant minds and imaginations set to solve problems by understanding them correctly, these are innate critical thinking skills.

If those minds are deeply rooted in healthy relationships that nurture, then their efforts will produce nurturing resolutions, if that is materially possible, to avoid avoidable harms.

We're literally born with that in mind, in evolutionary terms. That is what our DNA and biochemistry is in : a default setting to learn behaviour that is healthy.

To cooperate and live mutual aid is optimally healthy for human species.

No species is evolved for less than optimal biological health of each organism, and for the species.

In my mind, these three subjects intersect to inform a more radical understanding of human health presenting as nurturant behaviour as the biological optimally healthy state, psycho-socially and practically.

Alloparenting is when all the members of a group care for all the children, collectively.It is close correlated with Egalitarian culture.Healthy human relationships.Peace.

Fake News, Aphorism Wisdom and a sense of humour.

hmmmmm.... what kind of culture generates this kind of politically manipulative content, and calls it free speech? It is incitement, and it undermines the meaning of Free Speech.
Free Speech is the political and legislative directive that the State must never seek to prevent honest political and cultural discourse amongst the people, or any of their associations.
It was not thought of as Freedom to Incite or Manipulate using relative beliefs to escalate bigotry.
Those freedoms already existed under Law as religious freedoms.
Set out your belief, set up a text, a church and register as a charity.... belief what you like, convince others to adopt same belief, get them to pay all your life expenses, and more. Manipulate and incite as much as you want, do not aim at the State.
That was the context in which modern Free Speech emerged.

Here's my take, my opinion if you will.

Opinion posing as prima facie evidence for public news content is fake news.
If we understand public news function as informing the reader, informing the population at large, with reliable accurate record and knowledge of matters that affect their lives, so that they might agitate for improvement of society, as the population are the majority. Seems like a reasonable concept. As such it remains so.
An opinion page is not news, nor is it information. Telling people what to think embedded within text content that is not reporting the event, that is instead forming an opinion for the reader to agree with based on known biases. Is not Public News.
Let people form their own opinions based on honest information. Lay out all the facts and evidence, record the witnesses testimony, say who did what, what it was , what the outcomes were and then listen to what response the population has to that accurate information - with a lean towards forming evidence based understandings being the normal, the cultural normative of transparent democratic governance. Context. The condition in which we are forced to live our lives.
I don't think it's a lot to ask, even though I know those who would reject that, and adopt a defensive stance are indeed mighty institutions populated by people who have internalised the cultural values of the institutions.
They will defend the institutions as if defending themselves, their sense of self informed by internalising system values.
What are those institutional values?
Prime among them are Wealth and Power, for without either one cannot do much, certainly one cannot wage war without both in ample supply. And so forth.
Those values if they become an end on and of themselves will always corrupt and distort human relations, and disrupt healthy relations between different parts of our human family, our species.
Fake news tries to mask that and spread choice making and behaviour rooted in emotionally charged reactive opinion as a democratic weaponisation of the voting system. Get loads of angry people to vote, based on different themes, set them against each other. Sell ads while doing that - it is the exact same industrial process.
It needs to stop.
Utter cruelty.

Dear Representative,

I recently wrote to you urging you to support the South African application for an adjudication at the International Courts of Justice.

I present the following 25 minute interview with two psychologists working in the area of children and trauma in war zones, with particular reference to conditions in Gaza and The West Bank, and a representative of Save The Children.

In this interview, a new condition is described - Continuous Traumatic Distress, without the adjective 'disorder'. Imagine being deliberately and intentionally traumatised every day, 247, year after year. Where is the true 'disorder'

I respectfully suggest you view this important interview, so that you understand clearly the condition Palestinian Children are in, and have been in for decades.

Can you think about a child who grows up in a war zone who cannot even imagine peace or at the very least the cessation of violence because that is all they have ever known, because the child has internalised that state so deeply, he or she has no concept of anything else?

Millions of children are now utterly dependent upon the International Community to now take action to stop the violence of the Israeli State in Gaza, The West Bank, the occupation, the illegal settlements. As these interviewees state, as things stand, there is nothing the Humanitarian community can do to help those children right now, until the violence is stopped.

These children need safety from violence as the first step towards improved condition, as the only way to ensure all appropriate aid is provided to them, to meet their unmet needs.

I urge you once again, having viewed this interview, having understood the realities of life for these children, to at the very least demand our Governments take the action required to force Israel to cease this atrocious violence or be held accountable at the ICJ and the ICC.
