Vaccines are not the way out - suppressing community transmission of the virus is the way out, it's simple enough. Complex to deliver.

Good advice.

Long read, this is a review of sorts, and here's the basic points : Vaccines are not the way to end the epidemic nationally nor the pandemic globally. Our Government policy is causing harm. Misinformation is now on public domain News Media standing as 'opinion' and being held equal to scientific, epidemiological and public health best practice, and trying to undermine trust in the evidence. Help!

More good advice.

WHO , The World Health Organisation have been advising Governments since last year, 2020, that reliance on the Vaccines is a massive epidemiological error - the need to stop the spread among the community remains the obvious priority for a few good reasons. We need both working at peak efficiency. Everywhere. Now. Global co-operation that must be transparent.

There are multiple announcements, press and media briefings, papers and presentations where Mike Ryan and Jane Ellis and others have said repeatedly. "The Vaccines are not the way out of this Pandemic." Countries and areas must must suppress transmission from person to person in the community to quell exponential growth of the infection, beyond populations capability to treat, which leads to shutdowns.
People like Mike Ryan are serious people. He's not a corporate shill. He's not a conspiracy maker. He's public diplomat, for the worlds health organisations.

The Elimination countries do better, on every measure.

I have been writing about this through out, arguing the case - I understood from the beginning that elimination of community transmission, from person to person, depriving the virus of it's natural habitat is both simple and complex. I understood that 'living with the virus' means a cycle of opening  and shutting down society.

Simple is the basic fact that when the virus cannot find a new host, it dies out.
The complex is that to do this a Government and population have to work together.
That means they must understand the situation, accurately. NO misinformation.
That means they must trust in each other. Can you imagine? A metric for Healthy Government?
Complex means meeting the many different needs presenting, as effectively as possible, in order to support a population taking the steps to stop the spread.
We know a lot now on how to stop the spread in the community, after 19 months of practice and we have seen two strategic variations.

How did we end up here, again?
The two approaches
a) rely on vaccine to limit damage, allow some spread, surfing surges, people take it on the chin, economy is 'protected', wait a while, infections start to surge, ooops!, here we are again, leads to shutdowns.

b) reduce transmission to the minimum, remain vigilant, devote required resources to the mission, stablise the economy, prevent out of control surges leading to Lockdowns.
Now look around the world and see who is doing what, and how is that going?

BBC July 2021 report lays out the basics. Vaccines are not the way out of this epidemic and this is a 'here is why' kind of article, citing numerous scientists and studies. It's reasonably accurate.
So what!?
Today, 25th October, 2021, that is all forgotten, as the BBC announces continuing policy of no policy change on behalf of the English misGovernment. No-one in BBC News Journalism would be so brave as to point out the obvious. Plan B is waved like a flag of hope, which the government and anti-lockdowners see and present as a surrendering flag. Some are equating another lock down with a tyranny of removed civil liberties, a citation that stirs emotional reactionary sentiment.

The current practice across the G20 is this insane attempt to continue  'living with the virus'.

In effect this amounts to leaving the virus alone, allowing it to spread, which it will do, and it will keep spreading until a lockdown has to be imposed by Law, because the impacts of the uncontrolled spread are noticeable. That line of behaviour is a dead end. It has not worked and it cannot work. 
One cannot hide people queueing outside ICU units to find a place to receive treatment.

The Government metric is so keep the dying at under that threshold, and stay quiet about long term complications for many hundreds of thousands of people, and pretend it's all groovy.
Health, Economy, Civil Liberties of the population all suffer intense distortions, mostly avoidable. Competing powers jockeying for position, profiteering, ideology and psychological recklessness are exacerbating the situation, in spite of the best efforts of a majority of the population and the medical science community.

So how did we end up here? Oh yeah -

Who makes that choice? How many people drive that choice, to not save - to not avoid the avoidable harms? 
It's not just the matter of doing nothing, it is the choice not do what it would take to prevent harm, when it is largely preventable. Who are these people?

To not do what could be done.

Looking at the board you can tell there are no epidemiologists, public health or social care officials involved in the discussion.

Think about that.

They knew they could save people, and they chose not to.
Obviously not a Public Health and Welfare motivated decision. Britain had the resources. 
For a clue to the origins of the strategic diktat we need to refer back to a victory speech given by Johnson, in Greenwich, on February 3rd, 2020.
An elective dictatorship in action. The Exceptional English Way.



This is the official transcript from Johnson's speech on February 3rd.
"And in that context, we are starting to hear some bizarre autarkic rhetoric, when barriers are going up, and when there is a risk that new diseases such as coronavirus will trigger a panic and a desire for market segregation that go beyond what is medically rational to the point of doing real and unnecessary economic damage, then at that moment humanity needs some government somewhere that is willing at least to make the case powerfully for freedom of exchange, some country ready to take off its Clark Kent spectacles and leap into the phone booth and emerge with its cloak flowing as the supercharged champion, of the right of the populations of the earth to buy and sell freely among each other.
And here in Greenwich in the first week of February 2020, I can tell you in all humility that the UK is ready for that role.
We are ready for the great multi-dimensional game of chess in which we engage in more than one negotiation at once and we are limbering up to use nerves and muscles and instincts that this country has not had to use for half a century."

Bad Science.
Here, in March 5 weeks later, Professor John Edmunds, on the inevitable policy metric of 'achieving Herd Immunity'. John is a member of SAGE, the State body that advises Government on such matters as handling an epidemic or any other mass disaster, with Science, Advice and Emergencies in mind.

Protect the hoard, let the herd take it on the chin. Policy is decided. This was the announcement of that strategic stance, and it did not originate in Boris Johnson's mind. This speech was meant to be victorious Brexit speech. Coronavirus was a topical addition. 
Johnson in his February 3rd 2020 Greenwich speech brazenly accused other countries and their governments of panicking, most of whom have had much less serious outcomes precisely because they did not panic.
He deliberately misrepresented the stance of those other countries that were taking elimination strategies and making them work, thus avoiding avoidable harm.

There was no call for market segregation at that time, or any since, related to the pandemic. His Government policy on COVID has been wholly medically irrational. This Governments policy has caused real and un-necessary economic damage, and vast human harm.

We witnessed where that led to. All of us. Many waves.

Johnson has failed his own commitments, disastrously.

Many waves later, Matt Hancock was eased out with a snog, and Sajid Javid left his part time job at JP Morgan Chase, and was appointed Health Secretary for the English Government.

The CDO Salesmen Calls!
Sajid Javid "We will be healthier when we open!" blagging it in the Mail on Sunday back in July. 

A CDO Salesman, repackaged as a Health Secretary, with political responsibility for the entire Health system that serves 75 million people, was himself repackaging an epidemic within a pandemic as a seasonal flu, nothing to be concerned much by. Don't 'cower' from the virus, he said. The emotional gaslighting of fear and courage. '"Buy my goods, Gov. Great investment!"

"Since Sajid Javid’s appointment as health secretary on 26 June, the UK has confirmed a further 188,538 coronavirus cases, with approximately 25,000 extra people testing positive each day. On Sunday, Javid said that the best way to protect the nation’s health was by lifting the main Covid-19 restrictions, even though this would result in a further significant increase in cases. “We are going to have to learn to accept the existence of Covid and find ways to cope with it – just as we already do with flu,” he said."

Sajid Javid claimed at the time that the case fatality rate of Covid is, with the vaccine, equivalent to influenza. It's not. Nowhere near it, and there's a whole bunch of other adverse health outcomes that his glib throwaway thought ignores. That he, in his position, could speak that way, reveals wilful ignorance at best.

A good look at what Javid said, what it means. 

As it happens, Medical best practice says we ought to treat COVID like we treat Noroviurs.

"Of course, SARS-CoV-2 – the virus that causes COVID-19 – does share some characteristics with influenza viruses, which makes comparisons tempting. Around20% of people have no symptoms at all when infected with SARS-CoV-2, and many people infected with a flu virus also don’t get sick. Both viruses are prone to a lot of mutation. And with both diseases, older people and people with weakened immune systems are at a higher risk of severe illness than healthy young adults, with infections spreading rapidly in care homes, hospital wards and schools

But a lot of these traits are also shared by another germ: the norovirus. It too can be asymptomatic in some people, and mutates rapidly – different strains of norovirus have been found circulating around the same hospital during one season. In fact, as it spreads around, norovirus sometimes changes so much that standard testing kits can’t recognise versions of it that have evolved."
"Knowing what we know about these viruses, these plans should consider controlling SARS-CoV-2 more like we would norovirus than flu. With norovirus, we keep people with the infection away from others. We ask parents whose children have symptoms to keep them off school. And in hospitals and care homes, patients with norovirus are nursed separately from others, staff use PPE for protection, and surfaces are deep cleaned. Handling COVID-19 in the future should be more interventionist like this. It should be more akin to living with norovirus than the flu."

In other words, the way to live with the SARSCOV2 virus is to minimise transmission of the virus, take the steps to stop the spread of infection and disease with all available resources, creativity and kindness with adequate logistical support for the population to achieve this logical public health goal.

Remember this: The World Health Authority. WHO, have been advising all national governments that vaccines are not the way out of this pandemic, that we need elimination of community transmission. 

They ignored what was known.
It's not like Matt Hancock or Javid's Office and Department has not seen the WHO advice, at least Whitty, Valence, Harries and Van Tam must have read it through - that is the job of the Health Department, and the Departments of Social Care, Finance and Industry. Every department needs to be on this. But they are not. The British News Media are blanking the WHO, so that the population are none the wiser. Appalling.

Majid Nawaz
On Saturday and Sunday October 23 and 24, Majid Nawaz on LBC was promoting misinformation in a diatribe against lockdowns, masks, vaccine passports. Full on. He was citing papers, studies, claims and presenting long twitter threads with all the misinformation, as the definitive science on each and every matter. CRG Radio.
It was shocking.
I recall one caller, who claimed she believed she would be discriminated against because she could not take a vaccine, for medical reasons, and therefore she felt the passport would discriminate against her. Nawaz didn't stop to think that there would be exceptions built into any legislation to work around those who, for medical reasons cannot be vaccinated.
He just piled in : "Yes, it's being in a oppressed minority, hmmm..." or words to that effect.
I spat my coffee out, for real. Then I laughed a full belly laugh. He can't doing that, can he?
He was. That was just awful, reckless public radio - exacerbating misinformed opinion in order to enrage the audience.

Lockdowns?
Lockdowns do not cause more harms than they prevent  - what causes lockdown is uncontrolled spread of the virus in the community - more precisely is that allowing spread to get out of control is what causes more harm, not least because it generates repetitive, cyclical harm and is avoidable. Lockdowns are a last resort to halt exponential increase in infection.

To allow the virus to spread entirely out of control , until everyone is infected is inhumane.

The Tactic
Citing the harms caused by previous ill-advised policy to argue for worse policy is the emotional blackmail tactic the Right Wing Media are now fully, openly moving from on line micro targeting into the News Media public domain. This is insane. It is also nasty, Very, vert nasty indeed.

Remember what the WHO advice has been? Vaccines are not the way out of the pandemic stage.

As I have written above, the solution is simple, the delivery will be complex and there's really no need to make it more complicated by twisting the situation for power or economic dominance agendas.
At the very least the powerful, the Ruling Class, they could sort the situation with the Virus, and return to business as normal destroying the Earths living biome. It's too much to ask? I don't think so.

I don't actually accept that - there's no call to return to business as normal, when that normal led directly to the serious problems we are currently not dealing with very well.

A few days ago, 291 Conservative and Unionist MPs voted to pollute our rivers, sea & land, 172 voted against it! Almost 1/3 of all MPs - 187 MPs didn't vote at all. 187 people who did not bother allowed the bill to pass. Relaxing the sphincter of  regulation on behalf of the sewage treatment industry. How power flows.

This map shows the areas where untreated sewage is being dumped into rivers and our coastlines because the costs of preventing this would eat shareholders profits, and that is 'impractical' we are told.

It is clear that allowing disease to spread is now Government policy.

1. Jeff  Bezo's solution to Earth Pollution?

Don't change what we are doing that is toxic, just place the dodgy industrial toxic production shit in space. Sounds like a good idea?

"When you get into space and you can see the Earth's atmosphere, it's so thin and fragile looking. So we do have to take care of this planet. And right now it's just true that our civilization is — we pollute the planet. 
This sounds fantastical, what I'm about to tell you, but it will happen. We can move all heavy industry and all polluting industry off of Earth and operate it in space," he said.
 It will take decades to get there, Bezos acknowledged, but he cited the technological advances that have happened since the Wright Brothers took their first flight in 1903.
 If you told somebody, 'One day there will be a 787,' it would seem fantastical. But that is what happens. And we do need to move heavy industry off Earth. Because this is the best planet. We've been to all the planets in this solar system with robotic probes — this is the good one," Bezos said.

Bezos is off loading the problem, continuing the toxic behaviour, doing it somewhere else - in space - rather than changing the behaviour.
The truth is that the top 20 industry sectors would be loss makers if they paid their full externalised costs. 
If they paid for all the damage they do, they'd not be profitable. 
They make profits by causing harm instead of avoiding that harm in the first place. They estimate that it would be cheaper (for them) to build the infrastructure to move industrial production into space, than to change the way industrial production operates on Earth so that it does not cause so much harm. Why do they think this way?

Billionaires Wealth is built on a huge deceit. Billionaires Wealth and Power is rooted in the practice of externalising costs. They use their wealth as a political weapon to prevent democratic regulation of their wealth extraction and sequestering systems.

An externality is a cost or benefit caused by a producer that is not financially incurred or received by that producer. An externality can stem from either the production or consumption of a good or service. Someone else pays the price. 
Environmental degradation, the poverty inherent by maintaining low wages to maximise profits, the social disruption caused by political interference and corruption in democracies, clearing indigenous people's from land in order to develop it, waging wars for resources, climate change, air pollution are all externalised costs of industrial production, wealth  extraction and political dominance. 
The dumping of waste into landfills, or into the ocean is another externalised cost - chosen to save time and money rather than make the effort to prevent the waste or develop functional recycling of materials as an integral element of the whole industrial process which might eat into profits extracted.
3. The Elephant in the Room: The Deceit of Profit.

So when some politicians talks about GDP, and extolling the virtues of growing the GDP, increasing productivity and profits, know and understand that he or she is either deluded or knowingly lying, or both, and really ought to be disqualified from any role in governance, anywhere.
4. Brexit Reactionary context :  Resisting necessary change
Brexit is fundamentally a retrograde movement, a reactionary reflexive strategic attempt to stop history, to revert to the old authoritarian rule by wealth, Empire modality of hierarchical organisation of society. Brexit is both a denial of the need for change that toxic practice has thrust upon us and a rejection of the responsibility to future generations that defines adult maturity.

That it is typified by lies and gaslighting and immature adults behaving badly is indicative. Johnson calling on the Earths nation's leaders to 'grow up' at the UN is exactly that. Immature gaslighting. It's not easy being green when you are a liar!

His lies are not to be dismissed as merely lies, or buffoonery - they are part of a political weaponization, a war of words, of unilateral treaty breaking, of destabilising democratic regulation, a struggle that is central to where we are, and where we will be in the near, medium and distal future.

What does the political industrial wealth group that represents accumulated wealth aka Capital. fear most, as we walk into dealing with Climate Change, Pollution, Environment Degradation as existential threats to Humanity?

For example Shell are being held to account in Holland, Exxon are being sued for lying about their knowledge that CO2 emissions were causing Climate Change. There are many other cases, precedents are being set. If it is citizens who are bringing these cases, and succeeding, it will be democratic Governments elected to continue that work that bring it to fruition. And it certainly is necessary. The problems are real, and they will not go away so they must be resolved.

They have no ideas worthy of the attention and loyalty of the human population.

7. The same logical dynamic applies to the prevention of toxic outputs from industrial processes, from raw materials to end of life disposal, from clothes to food, from housing to transport. The Free Marketeers object to being made to prevent the toxicity because it interferes with their Wealth Extraction, which is what gives them their political power - without that vast wealth, they would be unable to influence politicians, corrupt legislatures, use mass media to indoctrinate and groom entire populations. Their Wealth is the source of their power, they have no ideological or moral standing without that wealth  which they deploy as a weapon.
8. These people feel entitled to `rule' the larger population in part because they view their success as proof of personal and collective superiority. They are psychologically addicted to power and are unwilling to cede any of the power they have gained, even if that means causing harm to billions of people.|
This is where we really are.
9. William Shatner did not come up with the idea to dump industrial pollution into space, disguised as 'space tourism'. He is being used, exploited as cultural fantasy icon, to fashion a veil, to groom generations into the idea of space tourism.
He's only repeating what Bezos has already indicated, back in July 2021, after the first launch.
10. So to push back we need the knowledge of what can be done to re-engineer industrial process so that it prevents toxic harms and instead outputs nutrients and enhances our environment.

And we need to bring robust democratic regulation and legislation to enable this trajectory, and that must include solid evidence based legislation and robust class actions against those who resist making these essential healthy changes because they want to retain the power to extract wealth, to hoard wealth and to use wealth as a political weapon to preserve their power, against the best interests of the global population and our shared environment.

This will be a serious, difficult and protracted struggle, and we must do it well, we must be wholly evidence based and we must fully commit to it and be determined, for the sake of all our children and their children to follow, to move it through to completion over a few generations. The main reason I think this is possible is this: most people are decent, our species is bio-logically set for an egalitarian default setting for our social organisation.

I have been thinking, reading, writing about hierarchically violent social and cultural behavioural characteristics for 30 years, dipping into the best work I could find, work done in the past, work being done today by serious, hardworking scientists, clinicians, practitioners and by trauma survivor populations.  This study is as much a study of myself and my lived experience in this culture I was born into. There are personal elements to this pursuit as well as global concerns. Being a survivor informs my study.

What I have learned is this:

When we study the evolution of the human neuro-endocrine system and how it functions, how it relates to our emotional state, our mental and physical health we discover something. It is 'designed' or 'evolved' through natural selection for optimal health. Being a bully or being bullied is not optimal health on any possible measure.

Egalitarian life was/is generally peaceful,  humanely beautiful, physically healthy, grounded in solid emotional attachment and mature affective state self regulation which reduces incidence of lost tempers and general violence because egalitarian culture nurtures the default setting of trust which is the basis of co-operation.

We can do it. it won't be easy,  and it can be done.

PPE, Masks, How to Earn £50,000,000 in Three Seconds, Priti Patel and friends.

Some people are making the case that the English Government's policy position on COVID this Autumn 2021 is an experiment to see what will happen as they allow the virus to spread without mitigations in place, given that there is a large part of population vaccinated. Our school children, a cohort that is largely unvaccinated, are being exposed to the virus. Epidemiologists know what will happen.

The question then is why is the English Government doing this? Bullies will always seek to exploit any new emerging vulnerabilities within any group or situation where they hold degrees of power.

Take the matter of crony contracts issued without tender process, or transparency at the time, many of which minted new millionaires and multi millionaires over night, at the stroke of a pen, the click of an email sent, the posting of a text message.

The Good Law Project unearthed these details in the courts, extracting the evidence in spite of robust Government resistance. A government more properly called a misManagement, Minting Millionaires over night, whilst exposing the UK population to a really nasty pathogen, by neglect.

And having active Cabinet level ministers lobbying across departments on behalf of the beneficiaries of these contracts. David Cameron had a neat job with Greensil, that netted him a cool £7 million we are told. He was able to use his direct contacts with acting Cabinet ministers to further his employers desires for business. So much easy cash sloshing around these slick politicians.

Effectively this behaviour amounts to political bullies exploiting an emerging vulnerability and using the power of high office to enrich contacts and associates, and then using that power to get away with mismanagement that leads directly to avoidable death and disease amongst the vulnerable population.

Sajid Javid was not involved in any of this, as far as I can tell.

He was working part-time as an advisor. However his 'part-time' work with JP Morgan Chase in between his ministerial roles suggests he would not be much bothered by this kind of arrangement. After all, he was a lead in developing CDOS, which were a scheme to resell bad debts, repackaged as solid investments to unwary investors - a behaviour that led directly to the financial crash on 2008. 

There's a documentary about this kind of thing, Inside Job, that is worth viewing as generalist introduction to this level of quasi legal corruption. 

Anyway, that  was then.

This is now.  COVID infection rates are rising across educational settings and elsewhere. New cases are rising to 42,000 per day, (Government figures) or 70.000 (ZOE), deaths are running at above 100 per day, close to the anecdotal 1000 a week 'acceptable level', each death a pretty horrid process, and Sajid Javid is very much responsible for that state of affairs, he is the Health Secretary - between 4 October 2021 and 10 October 2021, 5,423 were admitted into hospital with coronavirus. 

The front page of the Mail on Sunday on July 4th 2021 ran a quote from Javid declaring that "opening up will make us healthier" due to a backlog of NHS cases exacerbated from the pandemic. That backlog has not subsided in any measure since that optimistic declaration.

Given the multiple reports and studies and papers that lay out the catastrophic mismanagement of the COVID19 epidemic in England culminating with the recent Health and Social Care, and Science and Technology Select Committee Report I would suggest that the 45 million adults in the UK need to see this video, we need to view it and then to read this summary, at least three times. 

As you watch this, remember that Boris Johnson's £20 cut to universal credit this week will push thousands of families into poverty.

The Enabler  - The right wing media, the so-called left wing media, the centrist media, the Churches, Parliament and other public institutions that refuse to speak the whole truth.

The Hero - Idealised images of Nurses, Policemen, Troops, Doctors - Personalities such as Farage, Rees-Mogg, Tommy Robinson, National Icons that distract from the wounds by claiming British 'Spirit' etc..

The Scapegoat - Immigrants, the poor, the low income workers, the Blacks, the Browns, the Whites, the China Virus

The Lost Child - The Establishment Arts that refuses confront the truth, Britain's Got Talent, people groomed by Conspiracy Theory, Cultism etc..

The Mascot - The Queen, The Flag, The Establishment Arts, Parliament

These are all broad generalisations, and there needs to be a robust discussion around how truthful each of these elements of our Society are, and to what extent they are failing in their duty of care to the population they serve, in the face of this intolerable situation.

Letter : The Catholic Church, Transparency, Humility and Justice

To the Editor
The independent Inquiry into Catholic Cleric Abuse behaviour in France has shocked that nation, with estimates of between 241,000 and 330,000 children attacked between 1950 and 2020. 
Most Survivors in those other countries where similar inquiries have taken place could see this coming a mile off. With each inquiry more is revealed.  With each, there is still more to be revealed.
30 years of exposure and even still, the Catholic Church, and others - and there are many other settings where sexual attacks upon children have been and still are being perpetrated - have not come clean. 
These powerful institutions have not offered total transparency, and they continue to defend and litigate against Survivors - what would Jesus do?  
Would He urge fullest possible transparency and humble honesty as a key element in both accountability and prevention? 

Such a move need not be humiliating for The Catholic Church - rather it would be a liberation from its own internal tyranny to do justice for all the Survivors, the living and the deceased.
What would be a truly just accounting, and what would a truly wise and healthy outcome look like?

How would Jesus approach the Survivors? How would Jesus end this story?

Open Letter on Facebook : Define grooming, criminalise it, impede predatory media content dissemination.

To the Editor

Frances Haugen's testimony and evidence concerning Facebook and Instagram speaks volumes.
Media communications that target people’s cognitive biases, their insecurities, prejudices and worries, their misunderstandings, cultural conditioning and their fears, studying those conditions, aiming attenuated content that exacerbates those conditions at the targets,

And doing this with intent, in order to drive behavioural change - more on-line time extracted from users,  to encouraging addictive behaviour, whilst allowing malign actors access to vulnerable people, inciting hatred, nudging target groups into voting or not voting based on emotional and irrational drivers, increasing sales: all of this is economically or politically exploitative.  This activity is psychological abuse. This activity is grooming. 
If we had legislation identifying it, defining it and criminalising it, as psychologically abusive intentional action, then the media providers would be unable to allow such behaviour to be disseminated on their platforms as a revenue stream.  Their AI algorithms would have to be written accordingly. 
This would not be an inhibition of free speech. This would be protecting vulnerable people from predatory actors.  
The asymmetry of power  between the State, the Corporation and the individual human being is immense. Legislation is required to prevent bad actors exploiting that power disparity. This is a question of Health and Safety.
Free Speech is, on the citizens side, the responsibility to speak truthfully, publicly and it is also an admonishment to State and other institutional actors to never use their power to harass honest critics, witnesses, whistle-blowers and truth tellers - the State and other powerful institutions must listen to the honest citizen and hear the honest truth.
Frances Haugen is demonstrating the best practice of Free Speech. The Bi-Partisan response is demonstrating the best practice of the State as an ear for the truth. 
Make grooming a criminal offence.

To be fair and honest, Grooming was already a standard behavioural characteristic of our current system. Grooming is a core element in every hierarchy of wealth, power and violence culture. The online media environment has made it possible to direct grooming content to individuals on their own, exploiting their vulnerabilities, exacerbating fears to drive behavioural modification, which can be exploited politically or economically, whereas prior to the online media environment, propaganda was aimed at larger aggregate groups, and was to some degree more obvious and more cautious.

Boris Johnson : Is Misogyny a Hate Crime?

Johnson is largely correct in that Misogyny, harbouring thoughts of hatred of Women, in and of itself, is not a Hate Crime - Misogyny is a psychologically dysfunctional mental health issue. Hatred generally is.

Do we need a definition, in Law, of Misogynistic Crimes? We do.

Misogyny only becomes a crime when a crime is committed against a women because she is woman, or a crime is inspired or justified by misogyny.
Harbouring misogynistic thoughts is a disease state, and as long as it's just thoughts, it's a private matter. 
A misogynist can sit in his or her underwear, stew in the privacy of his or her domicile, and rage about his or her hatred of women, to his or her hearts content. It affects no one else. The affliction is contained. Obviously that person needs and deserves mental health support, irrespective of his or her awareness levels.
However, as soon as those thoughts inform behaviour and action in the social material domain, the physical real world, the shared commons and they start to have an impact on women, men or children, then the misogyny becomes a problem.
Misogynistic Bullying is Hate Crime.
Misogynistic threats made in anger are a Hate Crime.

Mistreating a woman just because she is a woman and the antagonist is a misogynist is a Hate crime.
Spreading misogynistic hate content, verbally or in any other form or medium, in order to incite more misogynistic hatred is a Hate Crime.
Insulting Priti Patel because she is a woman is a Hate Crime.
Noting that she is a bully is a statement of fact, and has nothing to do with her gender.
Sexual Harassment is a Hate Crime.
Boris Johnson's lies that prop up adverse policy that causes harm to vulnerable people are criminal, clearly. 
Yet he retains the power to utter those lies, Parliament refuses to hold him to account due to arcane and irrational rules. Johnson can cause immense social, economic and political harms, and get away with it.

Interestingly I am not aware of any single word that describes hatred of vulnerability, no technical term for that.
Vulneraphobic? MisVulnerable? A Bully?
Johnson can troll about with utter impunity, to the extent that he can troll the Earths political leaders at the UN General Assembly with inane references to Kermit the Frog and accuse them all of being adolescents, rather than mature adults, and infer that he, Boris De Peffel Alexander Johnson, will be the one to help them all mature at COP26, in Glasgow, in November 2021. 'Time to grow up!' indeed.
I am working on a song "It's not easy being Green, when you're a Bully, Liar, Troll, Thug, Groomer etc etc...!"

Meanwhile, COVID is spreading across all Primary, Secondary Schools and Universities in England, and the news mefia, parliament and the ruling class are silent: there is a taboo about talking about mass child abuse.

That deliberate silence is criminal.  I hate that silence. Is that a crime?
